I purchased this post light and installed it. On the plus side the lamp design looks very good and I have already received some casual compliments.

On the negative side, one of the welds holding the metal top to the lattice frame was severed on arrival. The welds were flimsy and look like tack welds. Because of the broken weld the lid/roof has one corner that is bent higher than the others. I dissembled the entire frame and bent the lid to curve downwards. I could weld it back, but figure this will do. The construction isn't very good, but I imagine it will last many years as long as it isn't whacked by anything.

The other negative is the shade of "opal" or yellow glass. The glass is set in in a tin frame (you insert it into the outer bronze frame). The thin glass and tin is very flimsy. But more to the point, the yellow is actually a bit on the ugly side in my opinion. It didn't bother any casual passers by, but since I paid for it, I immediately noticed it.

For the price, it's probably not a bad deal, but if you can't tack weld...you should probably avoid purchasing from the manufacturer. I'll probably order one other light to match because I already ordered two in this series at the same time. But I recommend finding a different manufacturer.
