This was an online purcgase that we made as our new house was nearing completion.We are near Lake Erie and were looking for a 'nautical' looking lamp for a post in front. This was exactly what we were hoping for. We have had numerous compliments on it and the way it suits our 'cottage like' new home. It makes it look like it could be the home of a 'freighter captain' !

We have a period home and although an outdoor light for our driveway, we were very particular about having something that fit with the house and was also attractive. We searched for months and looked at hundreds of lights, and this is the only one we really like. Unfortunately, through no fault of the products, we have had to replace the light several times. One minor criticism is that up close, the "burnished chestnut" finish looks a little fake.
