Very attractive appearance, fair price, fast delivery. One flaw, however, is in the "cup" at the base which fastens directly to your post. This metal cup is very thin and, on one of our posts, tore off from unknown causes. The thin metal actually had a tear in the material causing the lantern to tip over and swing against the post, breaking 2 glass panels and the wiring.

For the money, this is a good quality lantern. With the recommended 100 watt clear bulb - it is really bright. I saved a few dollars by buying the black post with a dusk to dawn photocell and electrical outlet locally. My electrician suggested spraying the glass with RainX to keep water spots from showing up from my irrigation system.

Waiting for cooler weather to take out the old wooden post and reposition a new metal post and the wiring. So this is not really a complete review! I have checked the lantern out and it seems to be very well constructed!
