hs273 orbit pendant by lbl lighting
We purchased 11 Orbit Pendant lights. The ordering process was a breeze and the communication was excellent. We knew the status of our order from the onset. The fixtures arrived in excellent condition, they were very well packaged and they arrived on time. Our contractor will be placing orders with the Allied Trade Group because of his experience with these fixtures. His standard lighting supplier told him it would take 4 weeks for delivery, Allied's arrived within two weeks. Good Job! Excellent service. Thank you, JoAnna French
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

aph16 halogen picture light
I bought this light to match one I already had. The local retail store that carries this brand required a 50% down payment and anticipated a 6-8 week wait. They charged full retail. I received the light from Lighting Universe in a few days, at a discount price and no charge for shipping, Excellent! It offers the options of mounting on the wall or on the picture frame. Make sure the screws are not too long when mounting to the frame and stick out through. It can be hard wired or used with the cord and transformer that comes with the light. There is an in line rotary switch on the cord. There are adjustable tube covers over the bulbs so you can have some control over where the light shines. This adjustment is a bit limited to pictures that are 30" or less in height. If the tubes are turned further, you will be able to see the bulbs. Halogens are very bright and irritating to my eyes, if looking at an exposed bulb. These bulbs get very hot. You do not want to touch the light fixture when it's on. It puts a natural colored light on your picture. The fixture projects out approximately 8" from the mounting bracket and around 6" in height. The bulbs can be expensive and their life seems to vary from long term to short. The rotary switch on my older light needs replacement. I've noticed that it does not make a positive switch to on or off and the switch is heating up. Easy enough to replace. When using the cord, there is a transformer that plugs into your wall recepticle. I don't know if these can be dimmed when hard wired to a wall switch. The light really makes a statement for your art. It brings out the colors and accentuates the piece. I find myself staring at my paintings instead of the TV. It also makes for nice mood lighting. The fixture comes well packaged, wired and ready to plug in.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Q: Can this product be hard wired. I did not realize this required a plug

Q: Your ad indicates only 1 halogen bulb and all other vendors list 2 bulbs. If I order this product, will I receive 1 bulb or 2?
Asked July 09, 2008
1 Answer
A: The light you showed me has only one light. House of Troy makes many different picture lights and it is very likely that you have also been looking at another model they sell. The light you are looking at has only one light.
