Purchased this light for outdoor porch for our Quorum Fan. Previous light was rated for damp which fan man said would be o.k. but as I live by a lake amd also near the ocean in Florida and we get heavy blowing rains here the previous light got rusty eventhough I had put a clear coating on it before it was installed. So I ordered this one because it is rated for wet conditions. I wasn't sure if I liked it when I first ordered it because I thought it might look more like an industrial light but when I got it and had it installed it really looks pretty and coordinates with the fan very well. Another thing I didn't like about the previous light was it did not have a stainless steel chain and it had also rusted. The electrician said this one was stainless so hopefully it won't rust.

We like the look and design of the fan and light kit but the light does not put out enough light. The light gets muted by the hammered glass and creates a spotted almost discoball effect on the walls in the room. If I were to do it again I'd opt for a clear glass casing for the light.

A little pricey but a great light for the patio fans.

The light kits are beautiful. It would be nice if they could do flourescent though and I like the hammered glass except for how it whines the lights on the walls.
