Not enough light for our kitchen, I should have ordered a 4 tube. I will move this one to the laundry room and order a 4 tube. The newer smaller T8 bulbs are not as bright. The quality could be better, but it works. It looks very nice and the light comes out the sides. It does not look just look like a box.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The glass was too dark and yellow for my taste, but it's a simple matter to replace it with whiter and more transparent glass.

Gives great light. Looks very nice. Works excellently in an arts & crafts or mission style space. Quality of construction should be more durable. A greater selection in wood finishes would be nice. Changing a light tube should be a lot less cumbersome in its design.

I like the fixture. Had trouble with breakage in shipping. 2 fixtures, 2 broken lenses, 1 broken bulb connector. Very happy with the speed of the replacement lenses. Did not receive replacement for bulb connection so I fixed it with screws to hold it in place.
