My house was built in 1888. While we've tried to respect the age of the house, period accessories don't always allow for modern convienence. This fixture has enough of a classic or vintage feel to not look out of place and create a dramatic but effective lighting scheme in my upstairs hallway.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I never thought I could ever be so excited to purchase track lighting! This style is a perfect compliment to traditional decor and blends in with the room, rather than overpowers or steals the show. The finish is excellent...looks very well made and of high quality. Great price too!

The light took a long time to arrive even though we were notified of shipping, but it didn't come for over a month. I thought the shade for each bulb was antique white like in the image, but it is stark white, so I was a little disappointed in that. Also, two bulbs went out within the first week even though we only turn the light on less than an hour a day.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
