I did a lot of searching to find the perfect light for a prized painting. This one fit the bill! I chose the antique brass finish. I debated between the low-voltage and the line voltage and chose the later. I’ve had trouble with transformers recently and tend to shy away from fixtures that use them.
I mounted the fixture to the wall which made installation simpler. The design could be improved by adding a horizontal and vertical adjustment before you tighten the screws but if you measure carefully (use a level) and drill precisely, you won’t have any trouble.
It’s a very simple, elegant and understated way to light a piece of art.

We had a beautiful Thomas Kindade painting on our wall for several years without directed lighting. We recently rehung the picture in a new location and decided to install a picture light. What a great improvement. We are getting much more pleasure from the paintin.

This light looks great over a painting in our entry. We bought it for a picture under glass but didn't like the glare.
