My viscone pendants more than do the trick for my transitional kitchen. I have 6 of them hanging throughout. The lighting is beautiful and plentiful. The glass is thick enough so you can look at the llight without a harsh glare in your eyes. With this comes the issue of the glass, at times, looking dirty/dusty. I put a cut glass bulb in which adds so much. Highly recommend if you need a transitional look.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
