The Maestro® dimmer collection features microprocessor technology that fits a standard designer wallplate opening. The Maestro® is composed of a captive button and rocker switch, and features LEDs that indicate light level and glow softly as a locator light in the dark.

Dimmer and wallplate preset dimming package with designer styling.

  • Smart dimmer microprocessor.
  • Tap once for preset light settings.
  • Tap twice for full intensity.
  • Press and hold for 10-second fade off.
  • LED shows preset light level when product is off.
  • Power failure memory.
  • Front accessible service switch to disconnect load power.
  • Minimum load on dimmer is 40W with a maximum of 600W.
  • Requires a neutral wire connection.
  • Wall controls have screw terminals.
Note: For use with incandescent lights only. Single-pole or multi-location dimming; not for use with mechanical 3-way or 4-way switches. Coordinating designer accessories sold separately. Package includes: Single-Pole Preset Smart Dimmer (1) and Claro® Single-Gang Wallplate (1).

get the lightolier onset dimmer instead

I thought that this product was comparable to the Ligholier Onset Dimmer. Wrong! For just about the same price, Lightolier makes a better constructed and more feature-filled product. But, since I'm only using this to control a closet light, it's not worth the trouble to me to return/replace it.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
