First, know that most bulbs for this fixture throw color off the back side. It's generally a pink-glow, but can also appear purple or yellow/red. Because the back of the fixture is a mesh, the light shines through to the wall above the fixture and can make things look a bit like holiday lights. I solved this buy purchasing a can of high-temperature paint (like used on grills) in a cream-color. I taped up the metal tines and then sprayed the bulbs (three coats) with the beige paint. In addition, we had some issues with installation, but customer service for this company is great and very helpful . We have 15 of these and you should also know that of the 15, 6 had bad ballasts (cause the lights to flicker and buzz). Overall, they're very spiffy looking and we're pleased, but they're not without issues.

This is my third set of these lights. They are great for lighting artwork in large spaces.

I use these in my apartment buildings. They last forever and are trouble fee (I installed 2 of them in my home over 3 years ago and have yet to even change a bulb). There are cheaper versions out there which are garbage, I've had to replace most of them within less than a year because the transformers go bad (or even melt), the bulbs burn out, the bulb sockets break, etc. Though these cost slightly more than the budget ones, you will save yourself a headache and replacement costs in the long run. The only downside to cable lights in general is they only take 20 watt bulbs, so if you are looking for somethign super bright, I would reccomend a conventional track lighting system.
