Silver is nice match to Mac computer gear. Sleek design and good looking lamp. Much brighter than most. Non-clicking button for 3 levels of brightness works with barely touching. Average amount of plastic parts. Overall 4 stars easily beats competition on construction. 5 stars on design.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The lamp arrived in a hand made / poor shipping container. The surface of the lamp, (top and base) were scratched, scuffed and dented. It almost appeared that this product had been used / returned and reshipped as a new product. I would definitely not recommend this product. Did I mention that this was poor nickle finish paint over cheap black plastic, instead of metal.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I purchased two reading lamps for my grandchildren and they were both quite pleased with my choices. The lamps are perfect for bedside tables and reading in bed - or for their desks. The light is strong and they can direct it exactly where they need it. I only wish there were perhaps more color choices than white, black and chrome for the adjustable lamps. All-in-all however, the white and black lamps were a great success.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
