No instruction included. Cast molded aluminum cage will never screw all the way on as in picture. Screws provided will not secure into normal ceiling 4" box so be prepared to improvise. Other than that good light for the $30 budget price. I bought and installed 2 in 30 min. Improvement on porcelains.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This is the end of bugs finding their way into your lighting fixtures.
I would recommend to put some dry lubricant on the outer cage threads.
