My pendant was promptly shipped & delivered - well packaged against damage and was made of a very nice red-ish cherry. It's a good value. I got the metal hanging chain instead of the wooden or metal rod. The chain takes away from the simplicity/beauty of the wooden fixture so you may want to think about paying a few dollars more for the rod.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
