It was unclear on the web page as to the material of the sconce. One thing said granite, the other nothing. We're still not sure what it is, as it's thin and allows light to be seen. While we expected color variation from the web page picture, which was quite orange, the sconce really had very little color. It was mostly cream colored with some darker veining. As it turned out, it looks very good on our pumpkin colored walls. It was a bit difficult to get the mounting plate to fit flush against the wall, as we have stucco walls. With some fiddeling, we were able to get a pretty good fit, but some of the light leakes out around the sides. I would advise this to be used on "flat" walls only.

I recieved my sconces and put them up with ease, running the wire up from the outlet was the hard part. turned them on and just stared for about a half hour.. no kidding as the sun went down and I was outside looking in through the new french doors the light shing up from the triangle shape was gorgeous. makes the room look elegant. I am waiting for my dinning room pendant and am going to order the bar pendant lights soon. very happy
