Every thing works. Fit and finish are very good. Excellent packing for shipment. Lamp shade very cheap - for the money the shade should be of better quality material and a black/white pattern to go with the color of lamp base. Last of all we needed this color scheme so we paid the price. If our purchase had been a "want" instead of a "need" we would not have purchased the lamp because of the price = too high!
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
