This lamp hangs over my kitchen sink with a window behind it. The light of the window makes it look like it is lit even when the fixture is not on. It has a gradiation of color from light to dark at the rim that is not as apparent int he picture. I like it much more than I even expected. I have had many comments from guests about how unique it is.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
