I was hesitant about ordering a lamp online, however, both lamps that I ordered from Lighting Universe were of terrific quality and construction. They were packaged perfectly with no damage and arrived promptly. This particular lamp is dark wood with a metal base and VERY heavy, which is nice. The wood pieces also move, so you could actually "twist" the lamp so that all the pieces are not in one line. I have received compliment after compliment on this lamp.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
