My house was built in the 60s, and I wanted a dining room fixture that harmonized with the architecture and other fittings in the house. I looked at many fixtures before choosing Embarcadero. The design is clean and contemporary without looking futuristic. The wooden accent on the stem matches my woodwork perfectly, and together with the linen shade gives it warmth and texture. Embarcadero gently evokes Mid-century Modernism without being overly Retro.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Very por quality for the price. The wood piece came scratched. The fabrication of the shade is very poor. The frosted glass lens has brown spots imbeded in the glass.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I hung two of these pendants next to one another and neither one hung straight. We tried several things - including new shades from LU - to make the shades hang straight and they never did. It is pretty but not at all the quality I expected.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

  • Q: Are the bulbs visible when standing directly below this fixture, or are there threads of fabric obsucuring the view of the bulbs?

    A: If you pull up the larger image you can see that there is a transparent diffuser that covers the bottom of this light so you do not look at bare bulbs.

  • Q: Hello. I have a 14' ceiling. Would like this fixture to hang such that the bottom of it would be 78" off the floor. Does it come with enough cord and can it be suspended by the cord?

    A: Hi. Good News. I talked to Forcast this morning on this fixture again. It comes with 10ft of wire and you can purchase an addition 36" stem kit. It will add roughly $11 to the price.

    A: HI. I'm sorry to say you will be about 2 feet short on this fixture. It will drop about 5.5 feet from the ceiling.
