I mainly bought this fan to provide light to an area that didn't have any. we were able to assemble the fan partly, but still haven't figured out the last steps to attach the lighting fixture underneath the fan blades. the directions are poor and it's almost like our fan came with the wrong directions. there is no possible way for the lighting kit to attach to the rest of the fan??? i have now had to hire a handyman and pay him $100 an hour to see if he can figure it out. he even looked confused when i explained it to him with the directions. the fan is quite pretty to look at once installed, but hangs rather low and like i said, the lighting kit is too hard to figure out because the instructions need to be clearer with better photos. i've installed the other 4 fans with lights in our home, this is the only one i've had trouble with thus far.
