Our builder installed this fixture high inside the front covered porch at our vacation home, which we visit on a regular/occasional basis. It is used only at night when we are expecting guests. Therefore it is hard to comment on it to any great extent. Simply to say that we enjoy the look of it and that it has worked well, no complaints so far!
