Disappointed that this one did not have a remote...most of the Minka Aire fans come with remotes; other than that very good value and very pretty...I also had to order a downrod with matching finish.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The Belcaro fan looks wonderful and works soundlessly. Our only difficulty was matching up the right wall switch with the fan. I didn't get all the information I needed from Lighting Universe and ended up missing the transmitter. It took a separate call to the manufacturer by the electrician to determine what was missing and then having to get the part locally because Lighting Universe could not provide it.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
