The quality of the lamp seems very good. It feels substantial. I like the ability to adjust the direction of the light and the touch on/off feature is cool. The only negative I would say, and it really has nothing to do with the lamp itself, is I would recommend purchasing the A19 3 way bulbs, NOT the A21s. The A21 bulb that the website suggests is TOO long and sticks out from the lamp shade and looks silly and distracting. If I had the right bulbs, it would have been a perfect transaction!

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
