Shop for lighting fixtures

The item was not returnable, but we decided to buy it anyway. We wanted to use a compact fluorescent bulb, and found one with a candelabra base that was only 4 inches long. However, the socket extended far enough into the shade that the bulb protruded from it, so we decided we couldn't use it.

Also the color wasn't quite as it appeared in the picture. Probably with standard candelabra bulb, especially an amber one, you could get it to look like the picture. We loved the shape of the shade, and if had not been quite as white with gray tones, we might have tried to make it work, but as it was, it didn't really work with our color scheme, and a standard candelabra bulb wouldn't have provided enough light for our application, which was over a kitchen counter "el".

We ended up buying some beautiful (but expensive) Hubbardton Forge pendants.
