After a not-so-encouraging research of over a month, looking for something contemporary, I ran into this one and couldn't get over it. They came out even better that I expected. I am using this with an electronic dimmer (but any dimmer will do), and the effect this light has on our dining room is beyond my imagination - giving it a dreamy feel, with a touch of the orient (creases on the pendants). The pendants are translucent to the perfect degree, neither too bright not too dim. A great product from an excellent website.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
