The seeker clip lamp has worked well for us, except that one of the two we purchased had a bulb burn out in less than 6 months, without much use. further the halogen bulbs are very hot and must be handled carefully. i would like to find a bulb that worked that wasn't halogen or at least have a lower wattage, but no luck yet.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
