blinks really fast! seizure-inducing!

I was hoping for something nice for my room, but what the description of this product does not tell you is that the LEDs blink on and off very quickly. It is not pleasant to look at; it's more seizure-inducing than pretty.
Luckily I am knowledgable enough to modify the blinking logic, but I doubt the average customer has the skills to do that. I will need to replace a small circuit board in the base with something of my own design.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
