This type of lighted sign is used all over California, but oddly enough, I couldn't find it at any of the big box stores. I needed a replacement after my original light was damaged. Took me quite a while to find one, so I bought two!

Advertised as 12V, so I bought it to add to my low voltage lights. The instructions say it will operate in a range of 14-24 volts 18 volts preferred). I tried it anyway, and the light wasn't strong enough to be useful. So I wound up running one of my landscape light sockets inside the housing, and that works well enough. So essentially I bought some numbers and the housing for $40. Not the best deal I've made.

The lighted address sign works very well. we do not have street lights in are area and there for the lighted numbers make it easy to find our house at night and in a emergency.
some of my neighbors have also gotten them after seeing mine.

Its just a basic house number, but it did the job and connected to the doorbell like the existing damaged one we were replacing did.

I was looking for a lighted address box to replace a broken one on a 30+ year old building, this looks very close to the other 4 address boxes and was low voltage. I looked at web sites for 3 days before locating this address box. Seems that the electrical supply houses and big box stores are no longer selling these units.

The lighted sign has an amber color to it. The bulbs fir poorly and the fixture seems to be over priced for what it is.
