Love the lights, the silver color blended in nicely with our stainless steel appliances and fixtures. The electric cord can come out of the back of this fixture so you don't see the cords at all.

These lights are great, but the 150W bulbs that were recommended are like outside flood lights and are not suitable for highlighting art. We plan to get a smaller 60W bulb instead.

The clamp shown in the web picture is vastly different than the actual. The clamp is large & sticks out so far that it distracts from the picture. Also the standard M-11 bulb used (flood)has light "spray" that floods the wall around the picture. It looks like you must buy a shield for $16 more, but I question whether that will solve the problem. It should come with the shield.

The color varation of this product does not even come close to the picture you have on your website. the pendants we received two are very yellow in color not red and purple like your website shows and the other is a silver that does not match the others at all or the website pic.

These lights occupy little space. They give off a choice of warm, ambient light, or bright light. They operate at a temperature much cooler than the halogen equivalent light. This is a very positive improvement.

If you have paper in your office you will want to avoid this heat-producing fixture. The heat from the bulbs can be felt a full shelf above where it was mounted (about 1 foot going through a 1 inch piece of wood). However, if your goal is to slow cook food this lamp would be perfect!

Additionally, no mounting screws were provided.

This light solved 3 of our problem areas. We used one above the spiral staircase leading into the loft,on a vaulted ceiling,the stairway is no longer dark, it is open to the rest of the room and seemed to look dark and shadowy at night,now it can be a focal point if we turn the dimmer switch up, or leave it lower for soft lighting on the stairway. The other two were used on the vaulted ceiling in the loft,also used with dimmer switches, we had two places where we like to read,we found the light to do a great job in those areas where a little more light is needed. The light looks great on the ceiling, its just there and does not stand out on our knotty pine ceilings, it fits right in and does a great job for those dark areas.

The last one from Lowes gave off a glaring, white light even with a translucent glass diffuser. The bulbs would corrode in their sockets keeping me busy with sandpaper and my wife on my case. She even likes the Hi/Low options. The actual quality of the product was 3X that of the Lowes item. I wish I had done this long ago...

I love this new light. It replaced a light put in when we remodeled our kitchen - the contractor chose it. The light was way too bright & you could see the bulbs My new lighting is a softer light and does not show just illuminates the area above my sink. This is perfect and what my contractor should have installed in the first place. We are definitely glad we made the change.

The light is really a cool idea as it allows exactly the flexability I needed in aiming the light from a 14 ft ceiling to a large piece of art to one side. (I got the 48"). The best light I could find for my application was a halogen spotlight (90 watt) The weight of this bulb tends to pull the gooseneck downward, but it still does an amazing job holding it into position. Would buy again. The only drawback is the instructions in the box are written with what you need to know up front placed at the very end.

Although this light met my requirements---low profile, bronze color, and a T5 light, the installation was more difficult than I anticipated. In particular, the built-in system for connecting two fixtures in series only works for surface wiring, not direct wiring to a switch. For that I needed to route a Romex cable outside of the two fixtures to be connected. This limitation was not addressed on W.A.C's web site. Although the results pleased my wife, I think the price did not justify the extra effort involved. The most difficult part was accommodating the extra cable in the small enclosure of this low profile fixture. Also, the instructions were not detailed enough. Perhaps an electrician would have known, but we had to figure out some things by ourselves.

The base of this fixture does not account for the space required for wiring and is very difficult to mount on the ceiling box because of this. There is also a significant amount of up light or light coming out of the back of the fixture onto the ceiling

I found new track lights for my existing track system at Lighting Universe. They were well priced and when I got my shipment I was pleased with the high quality of the fixtures. I needed to figure out what kind of track I had and their web site was excellant. I then needed to figure out the load for the new heads which I was able to do through an e-mail to a Lighting Universe rep ,who answered my questions asap, and helped me with my calculation. When the bulbs for the new fixtures arrived they fit perfectly and were the correct wattage because of the assistance I had from the Lighting Universe rep. I like the light are good quality but the mounting screws went through the bottom of my new cabinets. The lights get too warm to glue them under the cabinets; they'd likely fall off. We're still trying to figure out how to make them work for us without damaging the cabinets any further.

These lights will cook food in the cabinets above and on the counter below AND NO DOUBT MELT ANYTHING PLASTIC! Why would an under kitchen cabinet light be made with such ~HOT~ bulbs??? I was slightly nervous about buying these sight and illumination unseen, but they have turned out to be a good purchase. The housing for the bulbs is of a good quality despite being plastic (no chips or crack in the silver finish - even after installation), the light bars were easy to install, and the glow of the Xenon bulbs is warm. I appreciate that there are two settings, since the high setting is good for task lighting, while the low setting works well in the evening as "mood" lighting. My lights are installed 2 ft. above the countertop and the HIGH setting is bright enough that I do not need to have any other lighting on in the kitchen while prepping for a meal. Since these light bars are only an inch tall, they fit perfectly under the "lip" of the cabinets and hence are completely flush with the cabinets.

This product is not hard to install yourself, but the instructions are not fully fleshed out. Read them carefully and follow them especially the details regarding stripping wires and insulators.
Some consideration should be given to your desire to align the lamps prior to shaping the monorail. (i.e. if you care about whether they are all in line with each other or not it will effect the spacing and manner that you bend the monorail)
All in all a very good value and the kit is well put together.

This halogen line voltage flexible light fixture was purchased for a very specific application and works well with a PAR-16 spot lamp (60 watts). DO NOT purchase the recommended PAR-38 flood lamp because it is too heavy for the 4' fixture (and probably also too heavy for the 2' fixture). The PAR-38 is also 5" in diameter and totally inappropriate looks-wise for the fixture's design. The PAR-16 spot lamps (45w - 65w) that are only 2" in diameter can fit entirely within the fixture for a more dramatic effect. The locking slide mechanism enables this ability. The lamps shown in the catalog photo are NOT the "recommended" PAR-38s and are obviously smaller and look to be about 3" in diameter. An email has been sent to WAC Lighting with my complaint about this lamp discrepancy. Unless you know your lamps precisely, it is better to purchase the fixtures without lamps and to then buy them later.

I ordered a BA-LIX-2, two BA-LIX-4, and a BA-LIX-6. Each one came in with a bulb that would not work. I took bulbs from the BA-LIX-6 to fully populate the other fixtures and have installed them. I need to find 4 bulbs to install in my BA-LIX-6 so that I can install it and complete the project.
