Tthe item i rec'd was not as pictured - it had a cone-shaped canopy on the top. The glass had a number of imperfections (bubbles, lumps) and a small crack. Lighting Universe was fantastic about the return, paid for return shipping, though I did lose the cost of initial shipping to me.

The purchasing and shipping experience were very good. Had no problem with that. The only issue my wife and I had was concerning the color of the fan blades. In the photo on the web site they appear almost blonde in color when in actually they were more redish in color. We're going to work with what we have but it would have been nice if the photo was more true to color.

I am very pleased with the light.

HOWEVER I am very disappointed in the amount of time it took for them to arrive. I ordered the lights on 4/12/07 and finally received them on 6/5/07 (Almost 2 months later). I find this time frame very unacceptable.

We are an Electrical Contractor, we do a great volume of work for Home warratnies. When it is necessary to replace a ceiling fan we will only use Quorum Ceiling Fans. They are easy to assemble and install & their performance and cost are exceptional. Quorum ceiling fan come with a lifetime warranty. In the 15 years we've been in business we have only had to warranty one c/f. the process was effortless. We also have four quorum ceiling fans in our own home 3 standard 52" and one 60" and they are very quiet and no wobble.
Recently, our supplier discontinued offering Quorum products. I found that Lighting Universe was very comparable and ordering and shipment were fast and easy. We will definetly order Quorum products from Lighting Universe in the future.

We've had these mini pendants since 2003 and we love them! They're elegant and will be in style for years to come. They're bright enough to use a primary lighting with the directed (Downward) light but the alabaster globe defuses enough of radiated light to give the fixture an almost glow-like appearance. The fixtures bulb is also protected with a frosted cover.

The product is well constructed using ceramic sockets that take full size bulbs. The shades are mounted on the frame, not the socket! A very good product.

The square "hoop" that they show hanging down, actually holds in the glass, so it must be swivled up to touch the top edge of the lens. Otherwise, when installed it is a rather elegant fixture.

I was updating much of the house, & decided not to neglect the master bathroom. It got lovely granite, new cabinets & a shiny steel sink. All that we had before had come with the house, included old fashioned lighting.
I ordered THIS light and am ever so thrilled. The Contractor mounted it above the sink area on a beautiful piece of oak or maple & it reflects the beauty of EVERYTHING else we did. NOW I wish to re-tile the floor, as the light makes it look old-fashioned; but I have to stop for now. This was a terrific choice! Thank you!

Time to study the return policy.
Because I could not get close enough to image to see the detail... (they are very small) I did not realize they were circular with recessed circular shapes around the side- I thught they were square....
Also cord is BLACK but the way it's shot it looked silver.
The quality seems fine but too IKEA looking for my taste. I wish site had provided more details.

We purchased two large matte black Pendants to replace 12 year old "can" lighting. Ordering, and installation were a breeze....installed in 15 minutes. They accent our remodeled kitchen and provide ample light. I am so pleased with them and their output that I decided not to install under cabinet lighting. The pendants come with a generous 10' cord....we hung in an area with 20' ceilings....perfect fit.

If you have limited space above a ceiling for recessed lights, this fixture is a good option. In our case, there were plumbing lines blocking us above the light positions desired. Moving the water lines was beyond a reasonable cost solution. These surface mount lights are not too big, 9" diameter, and fairly low profile, about 3.5". Add a dimmer and the room has the same feel as if we had been able to use recessed lights. As a plus, the fixture had a satin metal finnish option that matches the brushed nickel hardware in that room.

In my search, I found few fixtures like this. If I could improve them, it would be to reduce the diameter further - down to 5" or 6".

I specifically asked the person who took my order about the output of light on this fixture as I need a bright light above my mirror in the bathroom. I was assured that the halogen bulbs created a lot of light, but this is not correct. It is a very good-looking fixture, but not appropriate where much light is needed.

When the product arrived two of the four glass pieces were broken. They were replaced no questions asked by the company with no additional shipping charges, but it took additional days to get them after the month we waited for the backordered product. The installation instructions weren't very clear. Came with two sets of screws that weren't labeled in anyway and the instructions didn't differentiate between them. The installation diagram was well drawn, but didn't include anything about the ground wire even though it was pointed out that you make sure the green screw was in place in the written directions. And finally, two of the four sockets where you screw the bulbs in are slightly bent so that it is difficult to put the glass covers on and are not exactly straight. The best part of the whole deal (ordering, shipping, etc.) was the customer service when I reported the broken glss. These days that goes pretty far with me, since most is really terrible.

The lights are attractive, bright and a great value. The only thing to note is that the bulbs hang below the fixture, which you don't know from the photo so be advised that the look isn't exactly as advertized. I don't mind the look.

We received our lights in a timely manner, but discovered that the electrical cord connecting the light to the ceiling is BLACK, not Satin Nickel (or even a matching silver of some sort!) as the description alluded to. Also, as pictured, the background of the light is black so it is difficult to tell that the cord is not black since it doesn't completely blend into the background and the description says the finish is Satin Nickel. We didn't even plug it in, as this is not the decor we were looking for. If the finish of the light is described as Satin Nickel, we expected the cord would be similar finish, not an attention-grabbing BLACK! At the least, we would have hoped for this item to be described more specifically, so someone else doesn't run into the same issue.

The white covers turned out to be slightly greenish, which actually worked great with our colour scheme in the house. We had to cut the cable that came with it because it was VERY long. The covers are slightly wobbly in their place, but not a big deal. Beautiful clean design. Plenty of light! Can be used with environmentally friendy light bulbs, which is a huge plus.

The light fixture is beautiful and very well made. However, I had not realized how hot the halogen bulbs would burn! The heat from one fixture was intense and I had planned on using two. Be sure to determine the impact of 300 watts of halogen heat before deciding to install this in a normal sized bathroom. It would help to have recommended minimum room size in square feet as part of the item description.

We live in a townhome and did not like the same ones as we had only a brushed brass finish. They were only about 6 years old, but because of POOR workmanship they were very weathered and looked 20 years old, which really drew away from the beautiful looks on our townhome. This lantern is beautiful...it is the only one on our block like it! No one else has one like this! I am looking into whether I can put a highter wattage bulb in there than a 60-watt bulb. The 60-watt bulb isn't quite as bright as I would like it to be. But it really looks nice.

The vanity light is even nicer than I'd thought it would be -- the glass covering the 5 halogen lights is embossed with small squares. It looks gorgeous in our newly renovated universal-design bathroom and with a dimmer switch, provides multi-functional lighting.

We needed a change for our powder room. It's very modern and upscale. We have a vessel sink and lots of stainless steel and glass. Including the clock. The light was a perfect addition and finished it off wonderfully. My husband said the instructions were not all that great, but he figured it out. The overall quality was superb. I got 2 of the 60" Dragonfly fans for my 600 sq ft screen porch. They are installed from a beam that crosses the porch from one end to the other. They look great and give the porch the airy feel that a screen porch should have. However, they are constructed of sturdy materials and the metal parts are heavy duty. We love the blades because they remind us of sails on a boat, and we sail a lot when not enjoying our new porch! I hope the canvas the blades are covered with will be moisture resistant and will perform just as well as a well-made sail. For now, we are very happy with the look and the performance.

builder may have some problems.The rubber washers,that
go onto the fan blade screws are very weak.They break
easily,if you overtighten the screws that attach the blades to the support arms.Stronger rubber is needed.
The fan blades look balanced when they are moving.
