I really appreciate the nice simple grid design of this light which makes it suitable for almost any house style. The light is made of cast aluminum and is sturdy enough to last for many years. It is the perfect size for installing on each side of my double garage door. I would have given it 5 stars if the mounting base was better aligned vertically with the light. The slight 1 or 2 degree misalignment is only noticeable if installed on vertical siding and then only by a super critical eye. If you need a larger light that closely matches the Maxim 1051, check out the Minka Lavery 8718.

I ordered the Java sconce because it looked pretty in the photo, when it arrived however I was very dissapointed at the quality. It is cheaply made, and the glass is painted by hand, much like children from 1st grade "art" class. They are nothing like the photo. I would not reccomend this product.

Once the electrician hang the light fixture you could tell right away that the ends of the fixture were bent. There's not enough support for the ends and the glass shades were extremely heavy. Very unhappy!!!!!!!

This double pendant light fixture is a beautiful addition to the kitchen in our new home. It appears to be extremely well made according to the person who installed it and a great value. I would rate everything about the process as exceptional, including ordering, order updates, packaging, on-time delivery, and follow-up.

I purchased this light fixture in January 2007 and had it installed in my guest bath. The fixture was installed as pictured. I used 60W bulbs instead of 100W. About three weeks later I noticed the paint (or finish) on the glass had created brown spots on the bottom of the globe where it had run down, like it was about to drip off. This fixture was installed in new construction, as specified. The few guests I have had in the month it has been installed have used the vent fan in the bathroom. There is really no excuse for this faulty finish on the glass.

The globes are being replaced at no cost, however, I wonder whether the replacements will be any better.

The light does look good. The only problem with it is that it only uses one bulb. The center rod and one socket make it so half the light is black and dark and the other half is lite up. Next time I would get one with 2 bulbs.

It has timeless elegance. Beautiful. Won't look dated. Takes energy saving bulbs, but the chandelier's sockets are odd. They do not take regular bulbs. And the bulbs that come with it do not have regular ends on them - they do not fit into a standard socket.

I love the size and style of this product, but TAKE NOTICE. The glass is colored a caramel color and diminishes the amount of light given off. This is not noticeable in the photo. An alabaster glass would make it perfect, but there is no such glass available for this product.

Our home was completed 2 years ago. Although the construction was completed we could never find the outdoor lighting that would complement our 6500 square foot mountain lodge. Since last October we have purchased 8 of these lighting fixtures for the front of our home. We constantly have people stopping to admire our home and some have remarked how beautiful the lights are. The construction is superior to 99% of other products. The visual effect is very pleasing. There is nothing cheap or chintzy about these lights. The best discription of these lighting fixtures is Rustic Elegance.

The post comes in 2 pieces. The top section goes 1 and a half inches into the bottom section. I had to lubricate the joint and use force to get them together. The hole where the wire comes out is only 6 inches from the bottom yet you are to put the post 18 inches in the ground. The hole should have been about 12 inches from the bottom. It looks good though.

We replaced our old exterior lighting with energy star. The Craftsman Outdoor Wall lantern looks great. We put it by our front door and used larger Craftsman laterns on our garage. We are very pleased, they match our entry way and the lights are much brighter than our old 40W incandescent lamps. We were concerned that single 13W and 18W lights might not be bright enough but they are very bright. In fact the 2 bulb Craftsman laterns might be too bright for our us.

The light looks nice, but installation was awful. Luckily we are handy because the instructions were for an outdoor porch light. Then the nuts were the wrong size. It took a lot of improvisation & time for installation. Disappointed!!

I bought most the lights for my new house from Lighting Universe, but as timing would have it, I spent the least amount of time choosing this light (for my dining room) and that is probably why I'm not in love with it. The style just doesn't fit my decor the way I'd like. It definitely was in my price range. It's very bright though - four 100w bulbs.

These are the only lights I've seen that aren't "typical" Craftsman, i.e. imitation, but have a unique style to them. They are just what we were looking for to fit with our Rocky Mountain Lodge (in the San Fernando Valley) house.

I was pleasantly surprised by this purchase. It looks very substantial on my home and has gotten very nice reviews from the neighbors. As for the price, this is a great value. Most of what is available at the big box stores is far more expensive and really very boring.

It is OK, but the shade itself is made out of a very cheap material. The on-site photograph looks good; in person, it just isn't the same. The instructions are VERY hard to follow and incomplete. I happen to be in the field and know how to install fixtures; if I were just Joe Consumer, I would have required assistance. I think for what it is, I could have purchased a cheaper version of something similar at Lowe's or Home Depot and been just as satisfied.

First thing I noticed when I opened the box is that even though this unit is plastic, it is pretty sturdy. Definitely doesn't look or feel cheap. It comes with a 5 ft cord to plug into a wall outlet and a 2 ft cord for daisy-chaining multiple lights together. The cord can be plugged into either connector on the right or left side of the light--very convenient! If you want to wire this unit as a fixture, you'll need the optional wiring kit. Mounting this was a cinch. It comes with mounting brackets so that you can mount to the wall. The back of the unit snaps securely into the brackets. Or you can use the key-hole slots on the top of the unit to mount it underneath a cabinet or counter. May need to reseat the bulb after shipping. The fluorescent bulb is 8W, but it supplies plenty of light for over my kitchen sink. I am very happy with this light and recommend it to others.

Couldn't be happier with the lights. I have two on a 10'x20' back porch and they light up every nook and cranny and look super, to boot. Lots of compliments on them; they almost look period for our big, c.1834 stuccoed brick farm house. Would most certainly recommend them.

Loved this fixture. Bought 3 in the oil-rubbed bronze finish and installed them on a dimmer switch over a heavy cocoa nut shell-looking framed mirror in a British Colonial inspried bathroom. These were something different and my client was very happy. Decorator bulbs are a must, as the bulbs are very exposed.

I was very disappointed in this chandelier, it arrived with broken small branches, and when we went to hang it up and adjust the larger branches two of them snapped also, it was very pretty, but the construction quality was very poor.

Given the price of this wall sconce, I am very pleased with what I got. I had a pair of them installed by professional electricians. I could never have attempted the job myself. For one thing, the print on the instructions is so small, I needed a magnifying glass to read it. Also, the light fixture on the instructions is different from the item I ordered, so it takes some mental effort to make the correspondences.
That said, the style is lovely and the lampshade pictured with the sconce is a perfect match and fit.
Finally, there is no on/off switch on the lamp itself, so it is necessary to connect the sconce to a wall switch. Since I had an electrician come to install the light, this was no problem, but anyone planning to do the installation themselves should be aware of this.
Given the above considerations, I do recommend this item. The service and online ordering was easy and helpful.

I really do love this chandelier! I think from order being received was within 2 weeks. It came packaged very well and nothing was broken.

The finish is a gorgeous satin nickel. I don't recall seeing any dents in the metal or any thin spots. The globes are absolutely beautiful with a marblized look. I was even able to use the energy saver bulbs in and you can't tell. The downside is I'm having difficulty finding a dimmer to put on it.

I had to hire an electrician to install just because it went into a 2 story foyer. I could have so done it myself. Since I was paying for him I let him set it up (it camed collapsed). I wish I would have done it. The globes are a little difficult to get straight. That is the only downside.

The light looks nice installed, but installation was not easy. The screws were too long and had to be cut with a grinder. The nuts were too large and couldn't be used. The instructions sent were for a porch light, not a bathroom vanity!
