I had this fan in the my previous home-office and loved it so much that when we recently moved I ordered another one for our new home. It's beautiful, quiet, and solidly built. Guests in our home are always commenting on what a pretty fan it is. The wall mounted remote feature is a nice touch as well.

I bought this ceiling fan because it has a great low ceiling clearance and we live in a 1947 cottage with relatively low ceilings. I absolutely love it! It doesn't wobble (which is amazing, considering nothing in our house is even, especially not the ceiling), it is super quiet and it brings modern elegance to our living room. It was soooo easy to put together! I am already checking out all (!) the other ceiling fans in our house to see whether we can replace them with that product...(we live in the Southeast, so we have a lot of them....). One of my best purchases for the house, ever....

This fan looks even better in reality than in the pictures. Its rounded-triangular canopy cover isn't shown. Note its large size: it can move a lot of air at high speed. It has a minor motor hum at high speed, not discernible at mid- or low-speed.

I purchased and installed two of these fans in my back patio. Set on high they barely make a breeze that most other fans would have on a medium setting. After going back and forth with Minka about this issue, their tech support informed me that this fan is mainly decrotive, and that if I need a fan that actually blows significant air I should return them. Note, carefully check return policies when buying online. Curiosly Minka rates this fan at 6700CFM on high, it clearly gets no where near this air flow. Needless to say I feel cheated. I am still trying to find a way to return these $400 fans, that don't work well as a fan!
If you are buying these mainly as a decoration then you will probably be happy with them. If you live in a warm climate and actually need a fan that provides a significant breeze for cooling, then look elsewhere.

The Treville is beautiful and the quality is definetly there. It moves more air on low speed that my last fan on high speed. The brightness/dimness of each light is controlled separately from the wall control and that is wonderful. You can can also reverse the direction of the fan from the wall control. And, you can have either or both lights on with varying degrees of brightness when the fan is off and that is also wonderful. I am absolutely delighted with the fan and I must say I could not have been treated better by all the folks at Lighting Universe, especially Melissa!!!

The fan is nicely constructed, easy to assemble - however, when the fan operates, it makes a wosh -wosh - wosh ----- sound. Fans make a noise when operated at high speed but have a constant sound as the air rushes though the blades. This is not a constant and is not nice to sleep with. Called the manufacturer and they ran a test and agreed the fan makes this odd sound. I suspect the shape of the blade edges causes the noise. Would not suggest buying it.

This fan is a complete package. The remote is fantastic.
All you have to do is hook up power, not even a wall switch is required to enjoy lighting and fan control.
the large fan blades really move air efficiently and the low profile design blends in with any decor.
This is the 2nd one I own, kitchen and living room.

We also got a fan that looks more expensive than it is. We also like that you have the choice of installing or not installing the light (we needed some of each) while maintaining a finished look.

This fan fits our need for a sturdy outdoor fan in a high wind area. The blades are much sturdier than most outdoor/wet location fans because the blades attach directly to the fan body. They are not the most beautiful fans I've ever seen, but they are very functional.

This fan is gorgeous and an excellent value. The fan was easy to install and works superbly. I was concerned that the air flow would not be sufficient with a ceiling hugger fan, but this fan creates more than enough circulation for the 200 square foot room it is in. Plus I can feel it stirring the air into my master bath as well. The included remote is such a huge bonus. It comes with a wall mount and even dims the light fixture. I am extremely pleased with all aspects of this fan.

The only surprise was the need to install a electrical box which could support the weight of the fan. I thought I could get away with the box that we had for the chandelier but that would never have worked. However once I upgraded the box the rest of the installation was a piece of cake. The fan runs smoothly and silently. In our case we didn't even have to adjust the weight on the fan.

We bought a Minka fan with remote but realized that the ordinary switch combined with remote was not convenient(if the light was turned off by reomte you had to locate the remote in the dark).All functions of this switch are on the remote so if you "lose" the remote you can still control the fan/light.

The only thing that I noticed was that in the picture the blades look like true bamboo or wood but they are actually plastic. You can't tell if you have a high ceiling but up close you can definitely tell it's plastic. I just decorated a Thai restraunt w these fans and they look superb!

I had bought George Kovacs design before. I was not sure if this bling bling would be too bling. But it looks a bit funky w/o looking weird or cheesy. I got 24" for my small foyer area but a smaller size would have worked just fine.

This fan did meet my expectations in looks, but not in function.
the sender and the receiver to the fan came in damaged. electrician was not able to install it as instructions indicated. had to wire it up differently, with seperate light switches and no remote.would be too costly to return parts and get electrician back to install it properly.

We love our new ceiling fan. We put the fan in our living room which has a 19 foot cathedral ceiling. (We had to buy a 6ft downrod.) It looks great and really finishes the room off. It is very quiet which is a plus.

The Belcaro fan looks wonderful and works soundlessly. Our only difficulty was matching up the right wall switch with the fan. I didn't get all the information I needed from Lighting Universe and ended up missing the transmitter. It took a separate call to the manufacturer by the electrician to determine what was missing and then having to get the part locally because Lighting Universe could not provide it.

The fan is beautiful and runs quiet. A very some amount of paint was chipped but did not show after the assembly. As I recall, the directions did not clearly explain the a shipping bracket must be removed before a certain stage in the assembly. Overall, the assembly directions are good, but can be improved!

I bought 3 ceiling fans that I put up and did not like becouse they hung to low. I went to my computer and found Lighting Universe. I found the F544 - Calais Ceiling fan and ordered 3 of them. They were to my house in about one week and were High Quality and easy to in stall. I will buy from here any time I need lighting.

This is a cool fan, functional, quiet, and incredibly attractive. I hung it my fitness room, which required a low profile fan. This was an excellent choice. Be aware: If you're looking for a fan to blend into the ceiling, this one's not for you. Even tho I bought white and the ceiling is white, it stands out.

Love this fan. Delighted to find that the whole fan assembly rotates slowly so fans are blowing all areas of my great room. On medium speed, it is whisper quiet. The light is soft and romantic, but definitely not to be used for task lighting. The only hitch in installation was trying to line up the scroll pieces parallel to the beam from which the fan hangs - they attach to the housing, so that has to be placed carefully. Also have to use a stepladder to adjust the clips that position the angle of the fans. I would definitely recommend this uniquely beautiful and functional fixture to anyone.

We didn't have any problem with our last ceiling fan in this room but this one has got us stumped as to why the fan makes a clicking noise after 2 hours on high speed but not at the lower speeds. The heavy ceramic base is difficult to steady and attach to the mounting plate despite being an excellent choice of design and colors for our room.

We wanted a ceiling medallion that would go with our mahogany-stained mouldings and crystal chandelier. This one fits the bill perfectly. It has gotten more than a few favorable comments from our neighbors and it is certainly distinctive from the run of the mill plaster-like painted medallions.

This is a great ceiling fan/light combo. This is the only place where I got the color (chocolate/espresso?) that I wanted. Very contemporary styling with clean lines. It is reversible and most importantly for me the light in the center does not rotate when the ceiling fan is on. I have it in my master bedroom and since I have the regular 8 feet ceilings this is the perfect size of the fan blade and it is close enough to the ceiling.

This is a nice looking fan, but be aware that the blades are spray-painted a stainless steel gray color. It's really more gray than metal-looking. The color does match the metal base and fixture; I was just expecting something else when I opened the box. I suppose real steel blades might be somewhat disturbing, so in the end it will work considering the fan will hang a substantial distance away from eye-level.

Ordered a 36" and a 24" downrod from Lighting Universe. Wasn't sure which length I would use, kept the 36" and returned the 24". Part was OEM, which meant it perfectly matched my Minka fan. Returned the 24" downrod which took about 3 minutes on the telephone, no big deal at all! Great customer service!!!
