I have several lamps made by Holtkotter (including this one)and I have never been disappointed. Further, their customer service is great. The halogen lens cover broke (accident) and Holtkotter sent me a new one overnight for just $7.00. The price may seem high, but their lighting is worth every penny.

The lamp is great because it allows you to brighten the reading lamp when necessary. The light is a soft light as opposed to a bring glaring light which gives a nice glow to the reading area. I am very happy with the light, in fact I am thinking of buying another one.

The quality of the materials, the silence and smoothness of the on/off mechanism and the lack of buzzing is unsurpassed. I have two new puppies that like to chase our two cats and the weight of the base has prevented the lamps from ever tipping over. I must admit that I have three other lighting fixtures by this company because I can trust in the quality and longevity. I have other high end lighting but none that please me as much. They are the best reading lamps out there.

It's perfect for the eliptical island in their chrome and steel kitchen...the oval glass shades add just enough sparkle. The clients love it and that makes me, the designer, very happy.

It has a very solid feel. It really speaks of quality in the design and fabrication.

This light fixture by Holtkoetter is not only practical by letting you adjust the height to any position that you want it to be, it looks absolutely stunning too. Whether your style is contemporary or traditional, it will fit in. It gives a luminous warmth to our dining nook in our kitchen.

It is as beautiful as it looks in the photos. My only complaint is that the instructions weren't clear about how to wire up the individual arms, and they were a bit challenging to attach. But this is a job best done by an electrician, I suppose.

The only feature absent is the ability of the lamp housing to rotate upwards past the plane of the arm, preventing it from accomodating the maximum of positions.

This lamp was a great investment - perfect to have standing by an armchair as it provides concentrated light for reading. Beautiful design although I prefer the look of it when it is standing up straight rather. I looked at many cheaper alternatives but couldn't find anything nearly as subtle, well-made and compact.

This light fixture is amazing! The photo doesn't even do it justice. I was expecting to receive a pretty fixture, and what I actually received took my breath away! It makes the whole room beautiful!! And on the practical side: very easy to install and casts a great light!
Note: this chandelier has a lot of presence for its size. I'm glad we did not get the next size up. This is solid brass and the 6-light size weighs 30 pounds.

The quality and beauty of this Holtkotter floor lamp is only surpassed by its' practicality. While pricey, I believe this lamp will give a lifetime of service and eventually pay for itself, since it goes with any decor changes, while remaining stylish.
