We used 6 sconces in a small office, some going down a hall. This sconce looks as good from the side as it does from the front, which was important in this situation.Very simple but substancial, everyone really likes them.

This is a beautiful light fixture. Style-wise, I love it. However, it is very disappointing to pay over $100 for a light fixture to have it unsightly and covered in corrosion in less than 3 years. The finish is barely hanging on over a corroded, pitted mess that is right at my front door. I will have to replace this fixture very soon. While I may have to sacrifice style, I will absolutely NOT purchase another light, however pretty the picture, from Forecast again.

My house was built in the 60s, and I wanted a dining room fixture that harmonized with the architecture and other fittings in the house. I looked at many fixtures before choosing Embarcadero. The design is clean and contemporary without looking futuristic. The wooden accent on the stem matches my woodwork perfectly, and together with the linen shade gives it warmth and texture. Embarcadero gently evokes Mid-century Modernism without being overly Retro.

This chandelier is beautiful but we had an extremely hard time hanging it because the finish is very delicate. The slightest touch scratches the finish - by the time we got it hung up there were scratches on the swivel bracket & the ceiling cover has to go up over it) and several other places. For something this expensive I expected it to be a stronger, deeper finish.

I also find the light to be very intense...

Our bathroom project has taken many months, (do it yourself, since January '07) It's not a big room and we have really sacrificed space just to squeeze in a jacuzzi tub. We bought this light fixture because we liked the modern design and also that it had both shiney and brushed chrome on it. Everything went really well, very timely and efficient service, but the light just sat in the box waiting for the bathroom to progress enough for it to be installed. As it sat in the box I started having second thoughts about how it would look,etc. But finally it got put up and I really love it. More that I ever thought I would. It's very beautiful. We are pleased with the price, service and quality of this product.

While I generally like the overall design of this fixture, I am disappointed in the quality of the one delivered to me. The glass on the left side of the fixture does not fit snugly into the metal frame, leaving a gap that leaks light when on. The large vertical metal piece on the front is not properly lined up with the lead seam behind it, exposing the seam and detracting from what should be a cleaner appearance.

This pendant is sleek with an organic quality. It fits beautifully into the Asian chic dining and kitchen design scheme. In fact, it has set the tone for other decisions. I also specified the related wall sconces. It assembles easily. It is a fixed height due to the metal bars from the canopy, so plan accordingly. Cheryl

We have installed 2 of the 3 lights we ordered.  The 3rd one was wired incorrectly as only 1 of the 2 bulbs would illuminate when switched on.  They look great on our comtemporary home and give just the right amount of light at the doorways;

This pendant light is the perfect replacement for the outdated chandelier that was hanging in our dining room when we moved in to our new home. It fits in with the craftsman bungalow style of the house but also gives it a more updated, contemporary feel at the same time. We connected it easily to a dimmer switch, and the light it provides over our table is both focused and diffused, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for dinners and plenty of light for working at the table as well. With our 8.5 foot ceilings we used the smallest extension of 4 inches, but the other two longer extensions would be great for rooms with taller ceillings. Overall, we are extremely happy with our 'Urban Oasis Pendant' and highly recommend it to others.

This is a good fixture, but be certain that you have a tight cut around sheetrock on your electrical box or you will need caulk or mud to repair. The fixtures replaced had a larger diameter base which covered better.

We absolutely love this fixture. We installed two of these in our master bath and they look stunning. The fixture is quite heavy in a good way. The materials are thick and solid and seem to be very good quality. We actually hung this fixture with the glass pointing down and used small round bulbs to conceal them inside the glass.

Really like the way this looks installed. The fixture did not quite cover the perimeter of the underlying electrical box. A separate ring had to be purchased to cover the space around the fixture base that mounts to the wall/electrical box.

This fixture is stunning in our remodeled 1955 Raised Ranch Home. We purchased the matching pendant for the foyer & 2 matching ceiling mounts for the center hallway. The chandelier arrived last - we waited 2 1/2 months - but exactly what I wanted. Excellent quality materials - poor construction. My husband, a very capable retired general army officer, took two hours to put it together - the wiring was not complete in one of the four arms and he had to invent/create a nut and bolt mechanism and run the wiring down the fourth arm himself - or return it and wait another 2 - 3 monoths. I was out of town, he said, "If an electrician had tried to install this he'd of said, 'Sorry lady, no can do' I was ready to hit it with a hammer after an hour but I found some parts in my disgusting box of 'little things' and fashioned the parts to make it work - after another hour of fanagling with it" So - this could happen buying from anywhere - I'm lucky my husband is so capable. No complaints about lighting universe - couldv'e happened w/any store.

This pendant light is absolutely fabulous. We have used it over a farmhouse table with oak windsor chairs and the look is perfect and just what we were looking for. It throws an abundance of light, and the diffuser takes care of all glare. We have it on a dimmer and it looks just beautiful when lowly lit also. I don't think you will be disappointed in the pendant......it really is outstanding....I've never seen one like it. We LOVE it.

I hung two of these pendants next to one another and neither one hung straight. We tried several things - including new shades from LU - to make the shades hang straight and they never did. It is pretty but not at all the quality I expected.

I bought a pair of these, as well as a pair of each of the other two sizes which are larger than this version. The styling of these lights is very pretty and graceful, with curvaceous simplicity. I did not want the carriage/castle look that seems to be available in hundreds of variations for exterior locations, or the streamline moderne look that is the other popular style for outdoor lighting.My three new pairs will be at three different doorways on the same house, in decreasing size from front to back.

The chandelier was purchased to match a much larger one we have in our front room. Although the chandelier is from the same company, we found it to be slightly different in color. Not important unless you're matching something. The installation was easy enough for a handy homeowner and all parts and pieces were in the box. The only issue I have is that (although it's not too noticeable, I cannot seem to level it in two directions.

In line with other reviews on this pendant, it looks great when installed! I was very pleased when it was finally put up. It was easy to assemble and can fit a number of ceiling heights. We have it over a square bistro style table in dark wood that seats 4-6 and have high (10ft) ceilings. It has definitely become a focal point of the room. Looks much more expensive in person and was definitely a good purchase. I highly recommend!

It is a very nice sconce, but the "antique" (which shows slightly honey-colored in the photos) is barely there, making it not that much different from the "opal" glass version. Not sure why the company would create 2 that are so close. Anyone looking for a light, honey colored glass may be disappointed, as I am, but plan to keep them anyway.

I used the wall sconces in a home theater and they really help set the mood I was looking to achieve. Using incandesent bulbs allowed them to be placed on a dimmer switch and lowered during movies. The fixtures were easy to install and a great deal for the price!

These lights are great because they take regular bulbs and not the fussy halogens. They are a bit bigger than I expected, but very thick glass and seem very durable. We had very fine glass pendants before that broke and shorted out after 5 years. Hoping these will last a lot longer.

Two of these light fixture were to replace one in the hallway and the other in the dining room which is used as an office. Both were easy to install and using CFC bulbs. The quality for this product is excellent. Make sure to try to not touch the glass with your hands during installation for the oils of your hands get on the glass.

We bought 2 of these fixtures to flank a mirror in a powder room. I like the smaller size in that they don't stick out from the wall a lot, like other fixtures tend to and so it fits the scale of our bathroom. The color of the bronze is nice too, very warm, as is the glass. We haven't installed it yet so I can't comment on how it looks lit up.

Since the glass is molded / formed. If it forms incorrectly, it may not sit inside the frame perfectly so that the bottom edge may be slightly off. I'm sure I could have replaced it but it is probably only noticeable to me. Love the look and I KNOW I saved a hundred. The service from lighting universe is great as well.
