We recently purchased two of these fixtures for our bedside sconces.
Although we thought they were very attractive and should suit our needs well, we were unable to install them completely due to a seemingly consistent defect in their construction. Both of the fixtures had the same problem and it turned into a total nightmare spending hours attempting to solve this problem only to finally give up.
Hudson Valley is supposed to have quality products, but not sure how this passed quality control. We will be sending them back.
Also, the switch that turns the light on/off functions by turning in the same direction. If you turn the opposite way by accident, then you end up unscrewing the switch. The design is goofy.

Although this is not sold as a "bathroom light," it tunred out so great for our "Island-style" bath. Items were shipped quickly, arrived in good condition and look awesome in our new bath. Perfect size, great look.

This fixture looks gorgeous in my foyer. I have a standard 8 ft. ceiling there, and was concerned about head clearance, but there's plenty of room, even for tall folks! Very high quality fixture, esp. the thick cut glass shade. Had some issues with availability (backordered one month plus) with no notice from the manufacturer, but customer service handled the situation well. Arrived in packaging that could go to the moon! Perfect condition. Easy to install, as it's very light weight without the shade on. Looks as if it were original to my 75 yr. old home.

These lights are EXCELLENT. Our bathroom has very little natural light and the room is small. So, we searched for a light that is compact but also highly effective. We've hung these two lights vertically on the walls around our mirrors. They provide very even lighting for a vanity plus they look great both on and off. Lastly, we found that the installation was a breeze.

The weight alone indicates quality in this fixture besides the antique brass finish that is toned down from some of the flashy brighter ones seen on the market. We also appreciate the shape of the glass that carries out the "early American" look allowing the fixture to be turned up or down for use selection.

One of these was fine, but the other one was not level, and could not be adjusted. The horizontal bar is 1.5" from the wall-plate behind the left side, and 2.5" away from wall plate on right side. The picture looks like it is adjustable, but all those knobs and screws are fixed.

This is a lovely light for the price-it has a good quality glass diffuser and metal components. The cord is fabric covered and can be cut by your installer/electrician to any length you require.

I am extremely pleased with the quality of my new light. I had searched and searched to find a light that was different than the boring lights you see in everyone's bathroom. These really matched with the theme of my new bathroom remodel and they look fantastic.

Beautiful fixture.I was a little disappointed at the huge price increase from June to when I finally decided to order it in Aug. It is a great quality chandelier and it is a
perfect size and proportion for my 6 ft. table.I have it in a breakfast area and it is traditional without being too stuffy.I have other Hudson Valley lighting fixtures and I get a lot of compliments on them.
This fixture has a lot of detail like little finals on each shade that you don't usually see in a chandelier.

Higher wattage than most sconces resulting in good bright light for vanity area. Finishes appear flawless and well made. Since it's brand new, I can't attest to durability, but I hope the chrome finish resists pitting.

Very nice looking fixture and well constructed, albeit changing the bulbs may be interesting as the base is facing up, away from you, and a dome must be removed first before getting to the halogen (don't touch with your bare hands) bulbs.
The fixture itself is solid and attractive delivering plenty of light through each of it's 75Ws. This delivers more light than my previous 'Hollywood' bare bulb bathbar, so you may need less. Happily, all parts were in the box!

I though I had ordered a chrome finish on this and when it came with the brown finish which could not be exchanged, I contemplated having it chromed. However, time constraints compelled me to have it installed as it was and it looks better than the chrome. Many friends have remarked they really like the difference. Again, electricians installed my fixtures, so I cannot attest to ease of installation.

I love these pendant lights ... i have them both in the hallway as well as in a bathroom. the only problem was installing them on our ceiling, which has beams. it was just a bit more complicated than we had planned for.
i would definitely recommend putting them on a dimmer ... the glass is really pretty both brightly lit and dinly as well.

This light hangs at the top of the stairs in our house. We needed a fixture that would provide light in that area and also shine down on our 1st floor foyer. We're very pleased with how this light illuminates both areas. The diamond shape reflects on the wall going up our stairs, making very a dramatic look. This is not a well-engineered fixture. The glass does not fit squarely into the base and does not sit level when installed. Rather, it sags down at a significant angle and does not look right. There is nothing the installer can do to correct this, short of modifying the fixture. In addition, the fixture is supplied with a pair of round balls to be used to secure the metal base to the wall. These cannot be installed so as to completely conceal the threaded studs that connect to the electrical box adapter. A portion of each threaded stud is visible after the installation is finished. I seriously doubt that anyone at Lighting Universe or Edison Lighting has installed one of these in their home. I will probably end up returning these, even though they were labelled as "not returnable" when I ordered them. Why pay $100 for a light that looks lousy when installed?

The pendants look great in our kitchen over the island and the sink. They are pricey but a value compared to similar high end pendants. They are made in China, but the quality control is high. The satin nickel finish is excellent. I found no blemishes and they are packaged very well. Installation is straight forward for an experienced DIY or electrician but the instructions are lacking for the inexperienced. We recieve nothing but complements and I do not point them out to visitors. The lights speak for themselves. Oh, if you buy a few of these, be sure to ask for a discount.

This is a very pretty sconce that we used in our victorian furniture vanity and bead board powder room. We are coordinating it with oiled bronze fixtures. The finish is a shinier than expected finish, although the detail of the embossing shows up nicely. We didn't find another sconce that we liked better and certainly nothing in the oiled bronze finish.

These sconces are very stately looking, and when my new fireplace surround is installed, I expect they will look beautiful. They are certainly solid (heavy) and well made (although one shade looks like it sits a bit crooked). I did not realize that the shades are not opaque - light shines up and below, but not through, as shades are solid. Also, the shades don't appear to be easily changeable (they screw on like a lamp), if you enjoy periodically updating your decor. Overall, I am pleased with this purchase, although I think the sconces were a little dear.

Item drop shipped directly from Hudson Lighting, was shipped promptly and was well protected. I ordered the unit with three lights thinking three halogen bulbs should provide enough light. Three halogen bulbs provide plenty of light in a larger bathroom. For whatever reason(s) these three bulbs don't provide the same amount of light. Although the style was what I wanted, I couldn't see anything about the light that justified the comparatively higher cost as compared to other lights.

The light is beautiful. However, the glass globe did not fit into the fixture at all. My husband and I spent 30 minutes working with the fixture installed and could not get the glass to fit in because the lip was too large. We finally took down the fixture, forced the glass into it (you can see the small pieces of broke off glass in the globe) and then installed it again. A fixture for this price should not have to be forcibly chipped to fit!
