I love this lamp--the verde patina finish looks even better in person than on the website and the style suits our bungalow perfectly, as though it were meant to be there. Moreover, it was delivered incredibly fast: we received it on the day it was supposed to ship. It was well packed and everything was in perfect condition.

A qualified electrician installed the light. One lamp socket would not allow the candleabra bulb to screw in. That was corrected. Then the same lamp would not light. The electrician had to disassemly the light due to a wiring error from the manufacturer within the light on that same arm.

I have been looking everywhere for a antique brass chandelier for my kitchen. Antique brass lighting is very hard to find. I knew as soon as I saw this that it was the right one. This is a beauty, well made. It is a current style that can fit with many styles of decorating. The price was very good as well.

I ordered two of these and installed them well after we purchased them. The directions that were included in both boxes were for a completely different lighting fixture. The lights were not straight. The pole that attaches to the ceiling will not screw into the ceiling. Be cautious of this product and the other positive reviews. If we had only one light then, i might think it was just a defective light but having 2 defective lights makes me a) not trust the manufacture.

I purchased this nice large light for a north facing laundry room. It is perfect! It gives off alot of light and is a semi-flush mount which I wanted because it deflects more light into the room. I wanted the light with three bulbs that could handle over 60 watts. It will make using the laundry room on dark winter nights so much better as now I can see the dirt!I also wanted a semi-flush mount because my electrician says they are much safer than flush mount lights because the heat generated by the light bulbs can over heat the wires and ceiling creating a greater fire hazard. I always vote for safety when I have a chance.

We just installed the light - we ordered the brushed nickle with alabaster glass. It looks great, and with a 100w clear bulb is extremely bright. When the bulb burns out I'll probably go for a frosted bulb or lower wattage. But no complaints - the light looks great, arrived quickly, and we're very happy with it. Thanks!

I quite like this fixture and think it looks great and was excellent value for money. My husband thinks it was a little over-priced but what does he know?! Its not what I would call a heavy-duty, substantial fixture, but it servces its purpose in my entry just fine. Did take quite a bit longer to arrive than advertised, one of the reasons I like using lightinuniverse.com is because of the super fast shipping I have enjoyed in the past, a little disappointed this time but they did keep me up dated on the status of the order.

This is a nice light, actually large enough for our dining room without being so low we smack our heads on it when we move the table out of the way. It was easy to install, even in our 1948 junction boxes (you will want two people to install this, though, because the shade is heavy). It's nice looking, as well -- if you were really tall and looked really closely, you could see that all the corners aren't soldered 100% perfectly, but it's put together well. (This is a good thing. That glass is quite heavy.)
It's not obvious from the picture that the glass is iridescent when the light is off and shines slightly green/purple. That part isn't my favorite, but it's not bad.

The pendants (and matching sconces) look great in our large, open basement area. We have the pendants over our bar-island, and the sconces are set on 4 different columns that give a movie theater effect. We put everything on dimmers so that we can set the mood as we see fit. The pendants were much larger than we envisioned, but look great nonetheless....(I would not consider them "mini" as described on the website). I would definitely recommend these light fixtures....huge value for the money, and beautiful to boot!!!

I have had this up for the past year and Im glad to say, I love it. It still looks like the day i installed it. the finish has held up. with the winter we had here in Chicago last season that a very good thing.I have some lights that I also installed at the same time that didn't do that well.
For the price this light was well worth every penny.

Very nice chandelier just wish the install instructions were easier to read and to hang the crystals was difficult with only a one demensional picture to view. The chandelier was slightly bent but was able to straighten it with a little adjustment. It looks beautiful once installed and for the price we paid the slight problems were acceptable.

The light is very nice looking.
The instructions were a nightmare however and I had to call Lighting Universe for some clarity. Leveling this unit took a good amount of time and it still doesn't look 100% straight if you stare at it. I would recommend lower wattage bulbs than LU sells as you can cook a roast on them when turned all the way up.

The only complaint I have is that it was difficult to line up the installation screws with the ceiling bracket holes. There should be a way to make this easier.
The glass shade was substantial and the overall fixture was solidly made. Like having three 75 watt bulbs to give off more light. A good compromise between a flush mounted fixture and something that hangs lower. I used this in a closet for a modern sophisticated look.

These lights were excellent matches to the other lights we purchased for our retaining wall. Installation was easy! They Look Great!! Only minor hitch were the screws for mounting the light to the electrical box bracket -- they were a 1/4" too long and we had to cut 1/4" off. Other than that, they were 100% perfect!!

This sconce is a good value for the money. We needed one that could fit the pre-existing outlet and didn't hang down too far. Only concern is that the lights are close to the glass which make make cleaning more difficult. Also, the bottom is open which during the summer may make it more attractive for insects to fly inside the fixture (It's winter as I write this.)

I was very pleased in dealing with the company, prompt and friendly service. I purchase 6 fixtures for our re-decorating project. We were happy with the three hanging fixtures, but you can really see the base of the flush mounts, it's like the glass shade should have been bigger. I did not return them after paying the electrician and time matters. The company was great to deal with though.

I had to hire a handy man to install this. The instructions were not sufficient for someone who has not installed fixtures before. Also, the central bolt threads did not fit the mount well and it took brute strength to tighten it. So, what I saved on the price I lost hiring someone.

Glass had to be re-ordered as it arrived broken.

Installed fixture looks nice, though.

I am very happy with my outdoor sconces. I ordered two and received them within four or five days of placing my order. They were packed tightly and in perfect condition upon receipt. The quality is outstanding as well. I also had to purchase new screws since the ones that were included were too long. Other than that, it's a very nice product and I would recommend it to others.

Nice value for the price. Purchased two for our basement and they look decent and went up easy. Wanted something with more than a basic white glass at a reasonable price and these did it. Like the fact that they can host a 100W bulb as many of these are 60W. Also toss light in all directions as opposed to just up.

The glass did not fit into the fixture properly and had to be glued. The fittings for the light itself also did not fit properly, and had to be manipulated and bent to adhere to the wall. The entire fixture was cheaply made, and I would not buy it again.

I had looked all over, both online and in the enormous home centers, for a light fixture that had certain features, and I had despaired of ever finding the right one. But then I saw this, and it was EXACTLY what I needed - it provided lots of light, and it's easy to change light bulbs - just reach up and twist, no unscrewing big frosted glass shades. Also, everything else was that horrible old style - lots of brass and tulip/scalloped edges. This is contemporary, but not cold and futuristic. It was a total bonus surprise when I opened the box and saw the glass shades were lovely swirled glass, like the art glass vases I collect. I LOVE IT!

This light fixture is very nice. It is definitely a step above most semi flush. It actually fits our low energy bulbs which I have found most do not. The directions were a bit confusing as it had the directions for several different fixtures on 1 page and none of them were the exact one we were installing. But was easy to figure out on your own. Looks great!
