This light was one of the most expensive in the group and it is small, provides poor lighting amd does not fit up against the ceiling like it should, it sends a annoying shadow across the ceiling since the fixture cover does not sit flush with the fixture....booooo, pass on this one!

This is a very nice light. However, there is a big gap between the glass and the flush mount which allows bugs to get inside the glass very easily. I only had it up for one day and there were many little flies sitting inside which is quite noticeable when looking up at the light.

This light looks great up. It is different than most others out there. It really dressed up the entry of my house. The only thing that I am not looking forward to is changing the light bulb. I will be putting flourescent bulbs in next time so they last a long time. You have to take the entire cage and glass off to get to the bulbs.

Lights were installed today and they are absolutely beautiful! The alabaster glass is heavy, high quality and provides great "movement" to the light. The narrow profile makes these lights exceptionally useful in narrow spaces flanking a mirror. Lights can be mounted so shades are upright or pendant, providing two looks. The service at Lighting Universe was terrific - prompt delivery and excellent follow up.

This chandelier provides plenty of light toward the ceiling as well as light toward a dining table or foyer and looks like a gas light when dimmed. The crystal globes are reminencent of the late 1800's gas light fixtures, slightly frosted with what appears to be daphodils of simple design with their long leaves spreading and connecting to the next daphodil. The metal is sturdy with a slightly copper/bronze color (a dark cream). The only negagive is the small globles don't have a rim around the bottom to help center them into their respective base, causing you to make a final centering adjustments before tightening the retaining ring. Also, it needs to use small size 60W bulbs to hide their tops when viewed at a distance. Small issues comapared to the overall beauty and value of this Thomas made fixture.

I am so excited to be able to find the answer to my delema. How can I have track lighting without (in my opinion) the ugly tracks? How can I replace my current light fixture without having to patch up the hole. This light was the answer to my problems. I can aim each individual light at key spots around the kitchen. Every area of my kitchen is brightly lighted now and I couldn't be happier.

Our light fixture was just as pictured on the online catalog. We had been quoted prices at a few local lighting stores for the same light, but your price was $50 less than the cheapest price we were quoted. The lighting stores also said it would take 3-5 weeks for the light to arrive, but we received yours in about a week. We were very pleased with the experience!

I received the fourth of six of these lights I will need just the other day. The chrome "stalks" that adjust the lights were mounted backwards and had to be turned around before the lights could be aimed. The sockets also unscrew with the bulb, making changing bulbs very hard without having to take the whole fixture down.

It's not difficult to install the light, but after it is installed, placing the glass over the fixture and using the three screws to assemble the last part was difficult due to the spring loading of the glass cover. It makes it hard to align the screws with the holes. I dread having to change a bulb, and would recommend the newer energy-efficient fluorescent bulbs that last 7 years, so as to minimize the headache.

both lamps arrived bent at ends, we fixed that, but if you were fussy, you would have returned these lamps. Then, after we hung it, one lamp station quit working. I dont think this was the fault of lighting universe, just the manufacturer or the light strip

I have purchased 5 of these so far for my home. They look great.

2 out of the 5 I purchased were assembled wrong and had to be re-assembled to match the photograph of how they should look.

Unfortunately, due to my amateur re-assembly, now the sockets unscrew along with the bulb, when I try to change the bulbs. I expect better products than this. These used to cost $20.00 each a few years ago, and that's about all these light fixtures are worth in my estimation, not $60.00+ each.

It took me forever to find the exact lighting for our newly redone bathroom. I did find a nice pair of lights and ordered them from another company for triple the cost. They debited my credit card immediately then told me they were on back order and instead of being sent the 19th of July, they would be sent the 23rd of Aug. I cancelled their order and found yours which I like better and were more than half the cost with no delivery charges. It took me almost three weeks to get my credit from the other company. I'm so glad I found you and your products.

Great solution for a large double vanity. We needed a wide cover plate because the electrician couldn't 100% center the box due to some construction complications. So this was the only light we could find anywhere that fit our criteria and thankfully it came in brushed nickel to match the rest of the bathroom fixtures. We are thrilled to have found it.

This is a really good looking light fixture; however one of the "paper" shades was dirty, had a grease mark on it or something, luckily I can point this one toward the back wall. Great fixture though, easy to assemble and install. Just wish they sold other color shades, white is pretty stark.

Recently I ordered 2 light fixtures online from Lighting Universe. Having had a bad experience from another lighting website, I was reluctant. Based on BBB.online, Lighting Universe has a good rating, so I placed my order. Everything was good except one minor problem. I almost didn't get my order because they truncate the shipping address. UPS didn't have enough address info even though I carefully entered the shipping address. Obviously, some fields get truncated when printing the shipping address. I'm glad I tracked my order via UPS and was able to get the problem fixed in time. Otherwise, I was happy with the products, the rapid turnaround time, and the emails letting me know the status of my order. I would recommend Lighting Universe to friends.

Two sconces were purchased for our law office. They provided an update to our building and we are quite pleased with their appearance. These items were on backorder for quite some time. When ordering this product our choice was influenced by the colors. When we received the product the globes were representative of the picture on the website. Customer service did an extremely good job in trying to find a resolution to the situation, but the manufacturer stated that the colors vary and could not guarantee we could get what was in the photo.

This is an attractive and effective replacement for our old gas post lamp at the entrance to a long driveway on a poorly lit street. The black finish perfectly matches our post, which we spray painted. A 75-watt bulb gives more than enough light; I'll be switching to 60 watts. A few surprises or disappointments: The lamp is slightly smaller than it looks in the photo, which is OK. More problematic, the base cylinder that fits over the 3-inch post is slightly flared, tapering upward to less than a 3-inch diameter. It therefore did not cover the entire top portion of the post, leaving exposed some holes in the post below the lamp base. We had to cut an inch off the top of the post to make it look right. Another surprise is that the top (roof) of the lamp attaches with screws, which must be removed to replace the bulb. (Our old one opened with a hinge and snapped shut.)

This spot light has some adjustability, the cone of the light can be aimed from the base and allows for good coverage. This medium size light is a good size not so "industrial" in appearance. The finish is a bronze/brown color that works well with earth tones and blends in for a less conspicuous appearance, while still providing the light needed.

I am very happy with the chandelier. The only thing that "cheapens" it is the way that the crystals are attached. There are holes in the leaves and the crystals are attached with a hook that is visable. Because I don't want to attach all of the crystals I have leaves with holes in them.
Overall very nice looking and a good value.

This was a replacement for a fixture that stopped working. All the descriptive details were accurate and helpful in making our choice. We use five 40 watt bulbs and find that gives very bright illumination. We like the downward directed light. The brass metal was our first choice and matches other elements in our decor.

Our house has a Prairie/Craftsman style and these lights fit in perfectly! We installed them ourselves. I would say they are easy to install IF you've installed lights before...the directions were not very helpful. They provide a lot of light but aren't blinding because of the frosted glass. We love them.

We just bought this lantern and had it installed by the electrician. It looks great as long as it's not turned on. With the light on it looks orange - just like a giant bug light. This isn't what we had expected. Also, changing the light bulb is extremely tedious. It requires to take off four tiny screws to open the lid. Getting them back on requires lots of time and skill. I consider myself quite handy, but this is painful. Whoever designed it should be called to change the bulbs anytime needed.

I canceled an order for this bathroom light fixture at my local lighting store because I would have had to wait 5-6 weeks on the light fixture. I ordered the fixture from Lighting Universe on a Friday, and I had the light by the following Thursday. It also was 10% cheaper, and free shipping was provided. An excellent value.

The only thing I found unacceptable was with the manufacturer. The assembly instructions included were not for the model fixture that I purchased. Holes had to be drilled into the back plate in order to mount it on the wall. This was a do-it-yourself project.
