The product arrived in perfect condition in solid packaging. The lamp looks just like it is pictured though the shade was a little darker than I expected. It feels and looks solidly built. The shade can be tilted so that the light shines down on the floor or pointed up toward the wall or ceiling. It can also move from side to side somewhat as well. This is a great feature if you like the ability to move it around, but it can be a drawback to those that would like to get it into position once and not have to worry about it getting moved out of kilter. I really like this product and am very happy with it.

Don't think this is anything but a metal and plastic lamp made to look like something better.

The parts are made of stamped or formed steel, painted to (kind of) simulate a pottery look. Truly milk chocolate bar brown color, not "rust." The shade is a painted steel frame with 3 PLASTIC inserts to simulate the look of mica. Plastic is similar in type and weight to "clamshell" packaging. 3 wire struts are non-functional, attached by a single tiny screw at their base, making them easy to loosen and flop around 360•. They could easily be left off.

Has two 40 WATT lamps, not 60W as described. 6' cord.

Made/packed in China, distributed in US by drop shipment. Cal Lighting is "a division of Big Ocean Corp."

It took me 15 minutes to unpack and assemble one. It's a look-alike, worth well under $100. Although decent construction for an all-steel lamp. It will do.

But be aware this item is NOT returnable. The potentially brittle, scorchable, bendable shades are EXCLUDED from warranty.

All in all a decent lamp. Very beautiful deep amber light from the shade that seems a bit on the frail side. Shade material is aluminum frame and plastic film with mica flakes laminated to it. Assembles very easily.

Although I love the way they look in the room, these lights were a royal pain to install. Some of them came with complete installation kits, while others came with only some of the required screws. Two of my nine had no decorative screw caps enclosed, so I had to improvise their installation.

Each light arrives in the box with a cord installed - but since I was hard-wiring, I had to detach the cord for each unit. Also, be warned, the wiring is really cheap and flimsy (we are not talking copper wire here) and thus will get all tangled up if you screw and unscrew the wire cap more than once.

These were a perfect match for our kitchen island. When lit, it is exactly what the picture depicts but beware that it is brown when not lit. This is fine for us because our island cabinetry is dark brown. The swirl compliments the swirls on our granite countertop.

I would suggest installing a dimmer switch with this track light. The five 50 watt halogens get a bit too bright and hot if the light is installed on a lower ceiling. Love the look and style of this fixture.

We wanted a track type lighting system that didn't cost a fortune, had colored glass shades, a dark bronze finish, could accomodate a high sloped ceiling, and lit our kitchen area adequately. This light did it all! It was a little rough to install due to the design and my big fingers but overall it took less than an hour and we are extremely pleased with the look and the light quality. The swivel to accomodate the sloped ceiling and the down rods provided made it possible to place the fixture where we needed it without the expense of buying separate kits. Shipped very fast also.

After shopping on-line for hours, and realizing that what you see is not necessarily what you get. I was pleased to read other reviews stating how these looked as good installed as they appear on-line, I ordered and was very pleased how good they looked. Only disappointment was that I ordered with a black chord and they came with silver chord.

If it doesn't say so in the instructions(my husband put it together) I would advise putting the light bulbs and glass light covers on before hooking it up to the electrical wires. It will be very cumbersome to change lightbulbs!. Also, I have the red light covers which do cast a slightly reddish glow, but not bad. The light has really modernized my kitchen!

These pendants are very beautiful, I bought 3 and they are more brown then red just so you know. I was very disappointed in these lights. They were larger and more clunky looking than it appeared online. There was no possibility of returning them, and absolutely no markings on the boxes to determine where they were made or who made them. We ended up having to buy other lights locally, and now are stuck with these.

This lamp looks great, near perfect. Only wish that the amber colored shade would have come to a close at the top of the lamp as well. When you place a light bulb in it, and turn it on, you get a really nice amber glow around the lamp but white light shoots out of the top. Had they made the amber shade continue on the top then you would have a nicer amber glow in the room. Kind of annoying, but the lamp still looks amazing. Absolutely worth buying.

I was extremely disappointed to receive the lamp shade in such a deplorable condition; it was crushed and torn in a perfect shipping container. The so called hand painted shade looks as though it were spray painted with a can of paint (actually several cans of different colors).
You can't tell from the picture that the cord to the lamp comes out of the middle of the bottom. That makes placement on a table a bit challenging.
Select a different lamp.

I just received these lamps and have found them to be terrible in construction and material quality. Both shades arrived damaged and are so flimsy that I can't see even intact ones lasting for long. The three prongs that hold the shade up are bent up and overall the manufacture of this product is substandard.
Lighting Universe quickly and pleasantly arranged to replace the shades.

I just received two of these lamps today... first, the order was processed quickly, and I was notified of shipping, and received all the info I would need, if I wanted to track the packages.... NICE JOB!
Now the lamps are absolutely beautiful.... These are in a southwestern bedroom, and the mica shades and the rustic lamp base add a real nice effect against the southwestern colors of the room! I'm very very pleased. The lamps arrived very well packaged and were intact.

This lamp is perfect. The lamp shade colors are very intersting. We have searched all over for a lamp like this, only one we could find. It is small as it takes an MR16 bulb, but the halogen bulbs throw a lot of light.

This is a fixture that looks nice and works about as well as its price suggests. It is not top of the line, but is easily worth the cost. It is easy to assemble and mount, and the illumination is exactly 3X50w. I like the additional color that glows from the shades; I got amber and it creates a nice, warm orange glow above the white spots.

The height of this light is actually 9 inches as it would hang from the ceiling. The diameter of the light is 4.25 inches. It is not the "gimbal ring" that you've seen in other places. It is huge, and it is ugly.

The lights are really nice installed but putting the bulbs in the sockets was difficult. The bulbs flop around in the socket even when locked in. It's fine if you never have to replace the bulbs but I'd be worried if I did.

This great lamp was well packed, arrived intact and was very easy to assemble without tools. With a 100W bulb, it is the only light we need in the room where we use it. I like the switch, which lets you have 2 different levels of light with a single bulb. Great value and a nice looking finish.

The fixture is lovely, but it is difficult to affix the glass globes to the structure - they have to be screwed on inside the glass - which is difficult to do when the structure is mounted. My electrician and I had to take the structure down, and even then it was tricky to screw the bulbs on. I do not look forward to changing the light bulbs.

Once you add in the price of a canopy, this item costs much more than it's worth, but it was the only pendant I could find in this particular look (the green was important to me) and it is strikingly attractive.
Two things you should know:
- when lit, there are a lot of blue swirls in the design (when not illuminated, it looks green and white; when lit, it looks green, yellow and blue)
- it is designed to be supported solely by the wires (which I think is unwise, even though it's not very heavy), so I had to improvise additional support

We live at the beach and I was looking for something to go with our beach decor. This lamp is perfect. It came well packaged and even arrived a day earlier that was posted on the UPS site. If you are looking for beach decor this is the lamp for you. If you are looking for a lamp that is white, you might be a little disappointed; but, you will come to like the lamp real quick. I did!!

This lamp broke the first time it was picked up. The small decorations on the side are make of some kind of brittle resin or plastic, not metal. Since they are not supported except at the base, even a small bump or if it would fall over, it will break.

I ordered two of these for my wife for Xmas. She'd been talking about needing lamps next to our sectional. They turned out great. Heavy base keeps them from tipping. Dark shade keeps the light generally in a downward direction. Only complaint is the harp won't let you install a CFL bulb. It's too narrow at the base for too long.

I think the Lights themselfs look awesome and were simple to get in place. The mounts I bought though were a different story. I didnt like how the plate sat on the outside of the mount, so I put the plate against the ceiling. To do this I had to do some tweeking. I also had to buy some new threaded poles to attach the mount to.
All in all though, they look right, little pricey, but they look great.

Color, appearance, & style are what I was looking for. Price seems a bit high. Assembly & installation was easy, assuming you have decent handyman/woman skills. The only part that could use better quality control are the threaded collars that hold the shades in place. Most of them twisted on pretty easy but one was almost impossible to start. I had to remove some very rough edges on the inside threads of the collar itself, followed by cleaning out the threads(using a toothbrush)to get it to start easily on the lamp bulb base. Once I got it started it twisted down just fine. Although this seems like a minor problem, if the collar can't be twisted onto the bulb base, the shade can't be attached to the fixture, leaving one with a fully exposed bulb.

Assembly instructions are the weakest problem with this product. The halogen lights to be inserted are for people with small hands and long fingers, if that is possible. The washers which secure the globes could be a little smoother and easier to install.

Beware, even though the manufacturer stated when asked that this was wrought iron, it in fact is lightweight tubular metal. Which means that it does not have the feel of solid iron and also can tip over more easily.
This may in fact be the case with all "wrought iron" lamps by this manufacturer, it's worth checking.

This product is very nice. We installed it on a beam over the island in our kitchen and it looks terrific. However, the halogen lights are very bright, and tend to shine in my eyes. I plan to install a dimmer on the switch which should help the problem, but I wish I had considered having it hang a bit lower. We did not leave the wires long enough to alter it now. If possible, I suggest activating it before the permanent installation is completed and trying different heights.

This track package was the perfect for our multi-purpose play/office area. Although contemporary in appearance it is simple enough to fit well in our Craftsman style home.

Good quality construction, natural wood grain appearance (but not real wood) matches well with the stainless steel. Arrived undamaged and on the expected delivery date. I like this product so much, I decided to get the matching floor lamp.

The Sanford table lamp is very attractive and looks great in our sunroom. The shade is a little deeper color than the picture indicates but also prettier!

A great lamp for the price. The base of the lamp looks and feels like stone, and does not give the look of resin. The lamp shade provides just the right amount of light, with no glare from the bulb. This is a great lamp for a lodge look or a casual room setting. I would highly recommend it.

My husband can finally read the evening paper! Table lamps did not give enought light, and this solved the problem. It is very attractive, fits our decor, and is heavy enough to stay put.

This track head is compact and thoughtfully designed. It is easy to install and very flexible. It's a good choice for someone looking for economy and good design.
