This fixture is truly beautiful, but just hope that you never have to change the bulb. Trying to replace the bulb requires some very tricky manuevering that requires holding both delicate glass diffusers up above the outlet while trying to force the bulb out of and back into the tiny socket. It's a tight fit, made all the more complicated by the need to avoid touching the $17 light bulb so that it does not burn out prematurely. It's a miracle if you can do all this manipulation without having the glass slip down the cord and shatter on the metal outlet below. Cleaning the diffusers is only slightly less of a chore. I love the look, but really wouldn't recommend the fixture for the faint of heart.

I bought the 120 volt version, but wish I would have bought the 12 volt. The 120 volt light does not have the option of having a directional spot. It is very bright, so bright it is hard to look at. It provides light in all directions, and I had to put a dimmer on it. Then the light becomes rather useless as a task light. The 12 volt would have provided the directional spot I was looking for an application over an island. I think I would have rated the 12 volt spot as a 4+. The quality doesn't quite measure up to a similar product made by Kovacs.

Although we love the fixture, it is buyers beware when installing a wall mounted or ceiling mounted halogen light. Yes, it comes with its own transformer, but that transformer must be placed into the electrical box to which the lamp is installed. The lamp will only mount to a ceiling style octagonal box. The alignment holes will not match a standard rectagonal switch box. Further, if the electrical box has more than one feed entering/exiting, there may be limited space into which to place the transformer. I had to replace electrical wall boxes in order to install the lamps. However, once the transformer is in the wall box, the mounting ring is very easy to attach and the light attaches to the mounting ring very simply at any angle desired (read: you do not have to align the mounting ring vertically or horizontally to get the lamp lined up properly). Once up, the light is beautiful.

We have this fixture in amber and it looks great over our kitchen island! The secret is the glass, which is hand-blown and contains excellent frit (that's what the chips, swirl etc. that give the glass its color and styling is called). Definitely better than the chinzy looking stuff you see at Lowes or the Depot. LBL and Tech are really a cut above most everything else out there, but my preference is LBL because they do a better job with the glass. If you can find one, try putting the light on a halo dimmer switch - I don't think you'll find one at Lowes but maybe at a local electical supply store? Anyway, its a great fixture esp. in amber.

Very pleased with the quaility of this light. A very good looking piece that I used in an unconventional location (over the kitchen sink) where it complemented the navy blue walls and white cabinets.

This is a fantastic picture light. Sleek, clean design. Great lighting capability, especially when added with a dimmer switch. Plus it is low wattage, so it does not get unduly hot onto the painting.

I was disappointed with the product. The on-line picture made it look more attractive that it was in reality. The picture shows the product as seen from below but does not show the product in profile. The product seems overpriced (because it was made in Italy?), given much of the composing material is plastic and looks it. The installation instructions were impossible to follow to the letter (threading the wires through the nipple); I'm not sure they were the correct instructions, as the picture did not remotely match the lamp. We had to adapt the instructions.

I did not fully understand from the pictures and description that this fixture would look like a shiny silver pendant when not lit. I thought it was see through glass with a dichoric tint. What a disappointment.

The only problem with this product was lack of clear installation instruction. There was no instructions about tightening a little screw at the very bottom of the support to make contact with the railing. It took many phone calls and a lot of frustration to accidently see this screw and try tightening it.

We've purchased a dozen of these lights for the exterior of our house, which is located about 200 feet from the Pacific shoreline. They've been up about 6 months now and have withstood the winter storms (with heavy rains and 80-90 mph winds) and haven't shown any signs of succumbing to corrosion. We installed them flush-mount, drilling a hole through the knockout on the back, which enabled us to avoid cutting in boxes into our exterior shake siding (an important consideration given our weather). We weather-sealed them with Vulcan caulk on the mount and silicone around the glass housing during installation. It's a pain to change bulbs, but they do stay watertight that way.

The Mono-Tel fixture is a perfect solution for a kitchen island. I decided to install them on an existing soffit to have enough light on the eating area. As the edge is curved this telescopic version fit perfect as they could be extend to lighten every single space.

This is a great looking fixture. there are some strange mounting quirks leaving it a bit uneven on the surface and spaces out from the wall. Be very careful when installing as it is tricky to keep the glass in place when putting in the two mounting screws that press the plastic against the glass.

I have purchased Onyx Cylnder sconce. Before buying I saw it in store and fell in love. When the light is turned on - it looks exactly just like a beutiful candle. The thing I like best about this light you can't really tell from the pictures. The sides of the bulb & base are somewhat translucent and the light from the side & back looks really cool when turned on.
Gave instructions & install a 3 because I didn't do it myself so didn't read them.
One slight minus to this light is that the arm itself cannot really be adjusted -- the light at the end can be moved up or down and rotated a little (I think), but it is not super adjustable.

I love the light, the style is just right, but the bulb blew out the first cold snap we had..I replaced it when it got back to 40 degrees, but when the temperature dropped, the bulb wouldn't work again...I just left my lighted Christmas wreath up for the winter, and will use the sconce Spring through Fall.

I have had my eye on this LBL Chandelier for quite a while and finally I did it! Well I did not expect to have it put together at home, but the electrician did easily. I love the beauty of it but it is more delicate than I had imagined. Does not have quite the impact that the pictures have. I used the flite shades too. Now my point is this; if I knew that when I ordered the chandelier I most certainly would have bought the 20 bulb size. It's too bad most stores do not stock there so you can get the whole picture. But, yes I do love the light. By the way it is in a two story front hall.
We did find the sales associates at Lighting Univ. most helpful. That was a pleasure.

But no one told me that I needed an electronic compatible switch, and I learned the hard way that I had incandescent compatible switches. So I've had to order new switches, and still cannot use the lights.
