This is a very pretty fan, but it comes with completely inadequate instructions. The wiring diagrams in particular are fuzzy, and wiring it up is not straightforward at all. Not a fan for the average do-it-yourselfer.

The foam gasket behind the cover plate needs to be thicker to eliminate light from "leaking" between the wall and the cover.

I bought this to replace a light fixture that no longer worked. It is in a laundry room area in the basement, so looks really do not matter. I could not find a 3 foot long overhead fluorescent light fixture anywhere - and finally found it here. It was easy to install and when used with T8 30 watt bulbs, gives plenty of light to do laundry or any other task. It is made in China, which is the only negative thing I can say - wish I could find more products made in the USA.

I had to surf the internet for hours to try and find a comparison and I couldn't. Their web site was awesome, the sample pictures were digital and the product was easy to find in the search portion of their site. The ceiling fan that I bought was a high gloss black. You cannot find them at the big box stores. This really was a great experience.

This fixture was obviously made for the lowest possible cost. The hinge points use low quality rivets, not screws, and the rivets break apart easily.

Getting the wire springs to install evenly in recessed fixture is very difficult - and I can't get them to hold the trim flat against the ceiling. I have given up and gone back to the bug-eye trims I had hoped to replace. The concept is great but -----

The plastic broke due to a stress fracture from simply installing the screw to hold the fixture to the plate. I would not buy a plastic model again. The porcelain is stronger and more durable.

My only concern is that this advertised as taking a 100 watt bulb, but the fixture says maximum 60 watts and only in the instructions does it say you can use 100 watt bulbs. I almost sent it back.

Good product to retrofitting. The springs that come with it don't work well so I bought the new longer springs that hang from the slots in the light housing. Otherwise, they're great.

Given this fixture is Made in China, I would have expected a lower price. That said, the quality is far better than anything offered by Home Depot or Lowes. At the end of the day, I'm satisfied. One note: the website says bulbs are not included. They are.
