6" IC Airtight Fluorescent Housing

Features

  • IC Rated for direct contact with insulation.
  • Energy Star qualified (State of California Title 24).
  • Wattage configurations:
    • 1 x 13W

    • 1 x 26W
  • 8196HA-EM-ES includes an emergency backup unit which provides 90 minutes of illumination when normal power fails.
  • UL, cUL listed for damp location and feed through wiring.
  • Thermally protected against improper lamping.
  • Meets Washington State energy code for restricted airflow requirements.
  • J-Box is listed for through-branch circuit wiring (4 in - 4 out) and five 1/2" knockouts and four Romex knockouts with strain clamps.
  • Pre-installed bar hangers allow housing to be positioned at any point within a 24" joist span.
  • Bar hangers can be turned 90° on the plaster frame.
  • Pre-installed captive nails on bar hangers.
  • Adjusts to accommodate up to 1 " ceiling thickness.
  • 7 3/4" height allows use in 2" x 8" joist construction.
