Had several cans which I had to convert in our new town home. The Can Converter worked great and provided the flexibility I needed for the various types of light fixtures I needed to install. I recommend this for any one needing to convert a can.

The Can Light Converter did not work at all for me. Nothing fit as it was suppose to and I will be returning it.

Overall, these converters were the right item for our needs -- hanging a pendant in place of an installed can light. The biggest problem is that the metal ring or collar that covers the 6" can opening does not fit flush for either of the installations leaving a gap around the edges.

My husband followed the directions both times and each time their was a gap. We have one more light to install. Will follow up if this one turns out okay.

The sheet metal screws provided were the wrong size. The heads of the screws were too large to fit through thr slots in the offset brackets. This ment the offset brackets and mounting bracket could not be preassembled as a unit and installed as one piece (which I believe was the intent). I had to install the offset brackets seperately then get the mounting bracket in place. Not easy working inside the can. On the second unit I found that one end of the mounting bracket was not threaded to accept the long phillips leveling screw. This rendered the unit useless.

Great idea and would not be too hard to install if everything worked as advertised. The poor quality control made the unit hard or impossible to install
