The shade diffuses light nicely leaving no harsh glare whatsoever to the eye. That is must for any light fixture as the glare tires your eyes. With these lights glowing softly we never want to leave the room. The natural iron is very nice. Silverish (almost brushed metal quality without the flashy chrominess). Not blackish like other iron forged products you may find. Look good and hard at this line. we will eventually get the leaves table lamp to round out the room. The prices for these hand crafted masterpieces cant be beat. Its a steal actually!
