Just as the Rosetta stone of Egypt contained valuable insights to ancient history, the namesake Rosetta Family embodies many elements from the history of lighting technology as it progressed from simple oil lamps to electric fixtures. At the same time, Rosetta has a creative unity and integrity that draws on the design flair and lavish embellishment we associate with the Italian Baroque. The cast body and scrolling, decorated arms of Rosetta are finished in Florentine Gilt that subtly reflects points of a light that is softened and diffused by the Indian Scavo glass of the globes and shades.
