This was a gift so not sure what the answers are. They loved it, but didn't ask about assembly, etc. It arrived in good condition and I was somewhat worried about it because of the heavy glass shade, but everything was perfect.

I purchased 2 of these lamps; they are beautiful and well made. The base is heavy and nicely decorated as well. Easy to assemble, packaged well. Took longer than expected to arrive, 3 weeks after order.
