It's a heavy base so don't have to worry about it tipping. Perfect for soft lighting a large area and the table keeps me from needing an end table.

LOVE this lamp. The quality is beautiful...heavy and rich looking. Not to mention, even with the free shipping, I had it within a day and 1/2! Very pleased. Would NOT hesitate to order from this site again.

The lamp was easy to assemble and is a high quality looking piece. My only complaint is that the tray had a dent in the rim even though it was packaged very well. The damage was undoubtably caused by rough handling at the factory or warehouse as the outer box showed no damage, yet the tray, while packaged in form fitting styrofoam, still had a dent in the rim. I didn't return it as the damage is not that noticeable and sending it back for another wouldn't be worth the hassle to me. That is the only drawback to internet purchases.....you can't just run it back to the store for a exchange.
