A lovely addition to my home, the base is filled with concrete, it has both a contemporary and classic look and fits well next to actual plants. I use a regular non-compact florescent bulb, but the lamp will still cast a warm light using compact florescent due to the amber bowl.

The spiral piece broke off the pole(at the bottom section) during the assembling (had to use a super-glue to re-attach it). No on-off switch, just a dimmer (cheap-looking dimmer, but works ok so far, I hide it under the bed). The lamp is steady and matches my table and seiling lamps, iron bed, so I keep it.

I was looking for scones for the Home theater I was remoling the recreation room into. I don't know how I came upon the web site but found the scones and thought the twig design would compliment the rustic pine effect I was trying to create. I was checking out and refered to the similar torchiere and on impulse added it to my cart. I planned to have the scones on a dimmer switch but had not a clue that a dimmer was included with the torchiere,a pleasant surprise. I am well pleased with my purchase; the lamps, both the scones and the torchiere, give my new theater the effect I was looking for.
