This is a lovely and elegant lamp well worth its value in look and fucntion. The frosted dome is wide and not at all fragile in its make up. The pole is sturdy and crafted to look like wood artistically designed. It was very easy to assemble and if it has to be moved to another site, it can be taken apart and boxed easily to assure safe transport. The lamp arrived in two different boxes (the dome and the base) and was packed securely. The frosted glass dome gives off a warm light and lighting can be modulated using a 3-way bulb 50-100-150 watts. I have a spacious living room and found that the lighting was quite adequate. I am very pleased with my purchase and would buy this lamp and from this company again in the future.
