The Sola Rail Easy Kit includes all the hardware needed to install a nine foot Rail run.

  • The 100 watt surface transformer mounts to a standard 4 inch square junction box with round plaster ring, not included.
  • Rail drops 3.5 inches from the ceiling.
  • Dimmable with a standard incandescent dimmer.
  • Includes five 3 inch Sola heads with glass shades and 12 volt, 20 watt, Halogen MR16 lamps.
  • Maximum 20 watt lamp to be used with this fixture.
Note: Matte Nickel finish does not exactly match Satin Nickel finish featured on the Rail and MonoPoint components.

The bulbs that came with it do not provide much light. I'm going to try to get brighter ones at Lowes but there is a 40w max.

    A: This is easy to install. The transformer would wired right into your electrical box and cover it up, then you decide on the extension and the length and mount the track then you attach the lights.
