This is a terrible fixture for installation. This fixture does not and cannot fit tight to the ceiling due to the cheap quality of the connector tied to the junction box. There are gaps between the metal portion and the ceiling which cause it to be completely unstable, wobbly and unbalanced. The holes for the screws on the main portion of the light which are to connect to the portion screwed into the junction box are parallel with the fixed non-movable portion below it. If you have a junction box close to a wall, as I do, you only have one option for orientation of this fixture.

The fixture itself looks nice and lights well, but it doesn't make up for the poor connection and horrible stability problems!

I replaced a kitchen fluorescent light with this one and it's excellent, puts off the perfect light for the entire kitchen, easy to install, and all my appliances are stainless steel, so the brushed nickel finish is a perfect fit.

To make this brief and to the point...... poor quality, poor design as far as how it attaches to ceiling box and wobbles like crazy if not perfectly balanced. VERY disappointed! The shipment however was prompted and undamaged. Poor quality instructions. Easy to install but how it connects to the ceiling box is a terrible design. I should have shopped around more but thought the light looked " modern". It does light up the room and is modern looking but I cant get past the quality of the product and the poor design. The only reason I didn't return it is my girlfriend likes it. lol.

Installation was a nightmare due to very poor design of components for attachment to ceiling.
